Was supposed to be at my location between 1-2pm on 09-23. Showed up around noon, when I was not here, looked at my elevator, told my secretary it was not up to code so could not repair it. They were here less than 10 minutes, according to my secretary. Just received a service charge for $299.00. Called to dispute and said they could reduce the charge by 1/2. I told them I would not pay. They did not leave an invoice or any information about what it would take to bring to code. Horrible way to do business! read more

My mom needed a stair lift chair so I went by their office in Houston to check them out. Very friendly folks -- we had some pleasant email and phone conversations before we set an install date. They came on time (really great since it was a three hour drive from Houston) and had the chair installed in no time. Mom had to practically insist on giving them a tip which they tried (and failed) to graciously turn down. I highly recommend this company. read more

Danny is a legitimately amazing guy. Came for a service call and inspection and just went above and beyond. He really cares about his clients, and it is obvious. He explained what you should have in case you get trapped in an elevator and how to get out. He explained some trouble shooting we can do if required and replaced a battery in the attic. We will always ask for Danny because when someone really cares it just shows through and through. read more

The people at Marchal/Stevenson have always been professional and friendly, from the office staff to the techs that come to our home to service and maintain our elevator. We schedule them out once per year since we purchased our home 7 years ago, and things always go smoothly. read more

I've always been happy with Marchal Stevenson until now. I NEED my elevator, I wouldn't have spent the money on one unless I needed it. Mine went out on Friday and was told it would be time and a half for them to come on Saturday. Monday he came and told me I needed a part that he thought he had. They called me and said it would be a WEEK before they could come. NOT what I wanted to hear. Harvey was a year ago. If they're so busy, they need to hire more people. My brother uses them, my sister uses them and I USED to refer them to my friends. We're all getting old and can't wait weeks for service! No more referrals! read more

People on the phone are polite enough, but they over schedule and then can't make appointments on time and required me to reschedule, often as much as a week later! And when they arrived later than scheduled and did the work, twice they charged me over time for after hours work despite the appointment having been scheduled during regular time. It has taken 4 appointments for them to try and fix the current problem at my house. The first service guy had been to my house on a previous repair. When he was rude the first time, I put it down to a tough day. When it happened again this month, I had to ask that he not be sent out again. Just got off the phone after talking with the owner. All she wanted to do was whine and complain rather than take the late service problem to heart. Her tone was brusk and uncaring. I felt crushingly unimportant to them before talking to her and afterwards, I see where her attitude has set the pace for many of her service folks. As the top goes, so follow the workers. If I can find someone else to do the work, I will leave and never look back. If you can buy or get good service elsewhere, I recommend you do. read more

Least helpful company I have ever dealt with. Although M/S is the only authorized service representative for Garaventa Lifts in Houston, they indicated that they will only service elevators that they have installed because of liability issues. Despite numerous calls and messages to their technicians and customer service reps, they never call back and have even hung up on me. Rude and useless people. Use them at your own risk. read more

The company sent a tech out last night at no additional after hrs fee and he did a temp repair as needed a part he didn't have. They followed up today with me and are sending someone out for permanent fix. Thank you read more
