ZERO STARS!!!My first time visiting this coffee shop was 4 years ago. And it was great. We went…read moreback today and had our best friends with us, excited to show them a really neat and eclectic coffee shop. That is NOT what we found. When we walked up the once cute landscaping on their patio area was unkempt and cluttered with old motorcycle parts. Walking in I immediately noticed the lack of cleanliness. There is just clutter everywhere. And it was covered in dust and grime. There are three tables in the place. Two of which were being taken up by people that weren't actually eating or drinking anything. The other table had a dusty Christmas tree sitting on it with no space to be used as a dining table. One of the workers was I guess just kind of hanging out with those people and the other worker was standing at the register. What I'm getting at is, neither worker was actively making anything for anyone that was currently taking up dining space for actual patrons. The space was so cluttered with stuff you would have thought it might be someone's storage space instead of a restaurant. The whole atmosphere of the place was just gross. I needed to use the bathroom as we were on an 8 hour road trip home. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There was no soap in the bathroom and the sink and toilet looked like they had never been cleaned. I live by a rule I learned from watching Gordon Ramsey. If the bathroom of a dining establishment isn't kept clean the kitchen won't be either. This rule has served me pretty well I think. And this place was screaming food poisoning central. The two that worked there seemed nice enough but the pride they have for the place is completely absent. The menu they have in place looks good, but the cleanliness of the place completely ruined it for us. We decided not to eat. We still needed a stretch of the legs before getting back on the road so we were going to enjoy some fresh air outside on the patio. We couldn't even do that because it smelled like pee. And there was bird poop all over the tables. I really love to see quirky and eclectic places succeed, but this place has lost its pizzazz and needs to be closed down. How the health department hasn't done this yet is beyond me.

I honestly feel ripped off…read more Paid $39.40 (with tax) for a "large" side of rice and a "large" side of beans--$17.50 EACH. Both came in standard 32 oz takeout containers, nothing close to catering size or anything that would justify that kind of price. This is a small Mexican restaurant in a rural area, not some upscale spot, so the pricing feels completely unjustifiable. Rice and beans are some of the most basic, low-cost items, and charging this much for them is excessive. Food was fine, but there's no way it matches the price. Definitely ask about prices before ordering--I wish I had.

They also have balsamic vinegar and olive oil's on display for sale. It was midday on a Thursday, arrived and 2 folks were waiting for what must've been a sandwich being made. I was hoping to try their croissant which is different than your normal croissant, but they didn't have any available. Learned the pastries and breads are made at their other location and brought in which makes sense because the place is just slightly bigger than a shoebox, Ended up with a couple of ciabatta loaves, pecan bar and a lemon bar. The bread was the best, the bars weren't anything to write home about. We're planning to go back out in a couple of months and will give them another try earlier in the day.

Small but cozy and decorated with kitschy and cute decor, this coffee house/cafe offers coffee, tea, matcha, boba drinks, smoothies and fresh juices. They also have breakfast goodies and other items like muffins, burritos and frittatas. Everything is fresh and served quick. You can sit inside or there are also some outside benches overlooking the lake in the back. I was able to order a sugar-free blended mocha with sugar-free whipped cream. Ahem, REAL whipped cream. Yes it was fantastic and a great price as well. They have a huge variety of flavored syrups and options, protein bases and vegan milks and can create drinks on par with a certain windmill chain...ONLY better! Shoutout and thank you to the wonderful staff and especially to the sweetest barista ever, who helped me customize my drink to fit my dietary needs. So light it could float away. The food comes up quickly and the portions are generous. My partner's eggs were cooked to perfection. So why on earth did they earn only a single star for my visit? The service was absolutely abysmal--to the level that if I hadn't put my food order in, I would've thrown a twenty on the table for the coffees and left somewhere else where we would be treated with respect. When we walked in, the restaurant wasn't that busy. One of the only servers on was just leaning on the bar and told us to sit wherever. That was fine. We asked for coffee and waters. She brought the coffee and then didn't bring the waters. We thought maybe she forgot; took forever to catch her eye and when we inquired about the waters she SNAPPED AT US THAT SHE WOULD BRING THE WATERS WHEN SHE GOT A MINUTE. So rude. Just offputtingly rude. When she finally stomped over to us with the water, she changed her tone quite a bit, but the damage was done. She also gave us zero time with the menu, as if we were an imposition and a total bother to her. Seriously one of the worst serving attitudes I've ever had. Pretty sure I won't be in the area again any time soon, but I won't ever be back here. Shame on you, Mikes. Your food is good but not so good as to excuse the abysmal service.
