Enjoying delicious Pupusas Revueltas from our friends at La Ceiba Restaurant on S. Fulton St. You…read moremight think of these as soft, corn tortillas stuffed with cheese and additional fillings of your choice. I prefer the pork, bean and cheese option but other meats and a veggie option are also available. These are paired with a lightly pickled cabbage slaw. We also had the beef Pastelitos. This crunchy, flaky pastry is stuffed with meat and cheese and is paired with pico de gallo, lettuce and cotija cheese. Delicious handmade sopes and the chicken soup are also a must try. If you want to try some authentic Salvadorian cuisine, La Ceiba is a must try. Don't forget they are cash only. P.S. A brand new Panaderia is opening soon right next door offering a variety of Latin desserts! Watch out S Fulton!

The food is hit or miss, sometimes it seems like someone forgot to season the food entirely. When…read morethe seasoning is right it tastes amazing, but else it's very bland. My biggest problem is pricing from their menu never matches what you end up paying. There's no itemized receipt either and they often end up forgetting items you ordered, but without an itemized receipt you never know if they added the charge without providing the item or not. The ambiguous nature of menu prices lends itself to discriminatory pricing. Unfortunately for that reason I will not be back. Based on the more recent reviews it seems they have chosen to continue this practice of discriminatory pricing. Also, it's cash only so that adds to the headache of how much cash to bring. There's no reason why the owner can't just take a marker or white out and update their pricing, leading me to believe this is intentional.

Hubby and I tried Mar y Tierra Restaurant while passing through Charlotte, NC to Ga. As per our…read morewaitress- Elena's recommendation, we had the Grilled Octopus with rice and fried yuka, and Shrimp and Octopus Ceviche. While waiting, we were served with freshly made tortilla chips and salsa with our drinks. The restaurant was clean, well lit, and had a feeling of openness to the place. They also had nice seating options either table or booth options. I liked the lively Saturday Night music vibes in the background and had a couple of huge TVs screens along the walls, stationed on a sports channel to pass the time. Although the wait was a bit too long waiting for our food, it was well worth the wait! Hubby's choice of Grilled Octopus arrived hot and was charred to perfection! It had a somewhat creamy spicy sauce over it, while it paired deliciously with the rice and fried yuka fries. I LOVED the yuka fries! I had the Shrimp and Octopus Ceviche which was presented beautifully with cucumbers, tomatoes, and avocados. It had the perfect balance of acidity, seasoning, and spiciness. We enjoyed eating it by itself and with the tortilla chips, which we had for the table. ALL of the dishes were perfectly seasoned, not overly spicy or salty at all, which I'm very sensitive about! Overall, the food was AMAZING and our waitress - Elena was "on point" with her recommendations! I would love to try more dishes too, if we have another chance to come back. MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS, Elena!!

We went for a lunch and I should have taken the rest of the day off after the nap I needed after eating here. We should have just split the nachos alone, never mind all ordering our own dishes after. Expansive menu with a little bit of everything catered to everyone's tastes. This isn't blow you away food, but the flavor and sheer size of the plates alone should make this a destination when looking for Hispanic food. I've driven by over the years and have always wondered. I'm so glad I took the chance and indulged. Check it out for an ample sized meal.

This is a small family owned restaurant that does things right! This review is based almost…read moreentirely on the food which is fantastic! It's a small, simple place that's nicely decorated but definitely NOT fancy. In fact, it's a little divey but charming nonetheless! They don't serve alcohol so forget about that. This place is all about the food! I think they have the best pupusas in town! They have a very distinct corn flavor and are always cooked perfectly with a crunch on the outside of them. They are served with pickled onions and shredded cabbage plus a homemade sauce on the side. Outstanding! Everything that I have had here has been great! Some dishes that I will mention are the fried chicken which is as close to homemade fried chicken as you will ever find in a restaurant. If you want great food at reasonable prices in a casual atmosphere than this is your place!

Zero flavor and tough like chewing on a tire! The Yuca hervida was also SUPER DRY and they don't even put garlic over it to give it flavor. I'm not a fan of their coleslaw and their beans are very weird. The pork chop was not terrible but was also lacking seasoning. I don't understand how places like this stay in business, but it's definitely clear that ONLY Hondurans eat here. The server which is the daughter of the owners was VERY,VERY friendly and polite. It's just unfortunate that the food is so terrible. We would never return. And they're BEYOND OVERPRICED!!!
