We had a pleasant dinner at at Mar de Amores quite by accident - we had a very long day traveling from Torres del Paine and we missed our dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant due to our flight being delayed followed by being stuck in very heavy traffic coming from Santiago. We had been traveling bus, plane, and car for more than 8 hours and the wife was quite HANGRY since she hadn't eaten for more than 12 hours and the restaurant that we were supposed to have dinner at already closed for the night. Definitely a very delicate situation!
Mar de Amores happened to be nearby and we had a very lovely dinner outside in their patio. We shared large seafood platter served on a plancha with octopus, salmon, and mussels. We also had a large hearts of palm salad and an order of the local shellfish broiled with Parmesan cheese. A couple glasses of wine and all was good. The menu was in Spanish but the the waiters spoke good English and we were able to order very easily. read more
