I cannot recommend the Taylor Agency and our broker, Katie, enough. Two months after buying our…read morefirst house, our insurance company inexplicably terminated service in December. Completely green to the process, I scrambled to find another insurer and was recommended the Taylor Agency to help, and help they did. I had a new policy within a week. Flash forward a few years, and a neighbor's dying 40 foot tree has resulted in 5 or 6 claims over two years. That insurer issued a non-renewal notice in November of 2019, claiming that we'd exceeded the number of claims without ever previously noting this limitation. Even though we had a claims history that made most insurers wary, we had a new policy within a month and avoided a lapse in coverage due to Katie's diligence and dedication. Flash forward to June of 2020, and our bank has told us that we had no insurance from Feb. '19-Nov. '19, and that they had bought a policy on our behalf and would be paying out of our escrow to cover the costs and increasing our mortgage payment to make up the difference. I sent katie the letters one evening within 8 hours received a call from her, saying she'd spoken to the bank and received verbal confirmation they were in the wrong and would be refunding our escrow. TRULY AMAZING!!

Finding a competent tax professional was a high priority when we moved from Baltimore to South…read moreCarolina (Mount Pleasant) 4 1/2 years ago. You see, our first year's tax returns involved two states, multiple cash flows, distributions, purchase and sale of two properties, business interests, etc. , requiring proficiency above punching numbers into a canned tax program. While certainly I could have done it all myself, I wanted the benefit of tax advice and assurance that each return and associated schedules would be prepared correctly (read: lowest tax liability). As I was interested in a small office/sole practitioner, Allan G.Bolden, C.P.A., presented exactly the interface I was looking for. The front office staff is friendly, professional and efficient. Each January, we receive a notebook in which I complete tax-related proprietary forms and attach official documents which simplify the practice's information gathering phase. During our appointment, we discussed (with Allan) changes in our lives over the last year ... and anything that we could foresee ... that could affect our tax position in 2017. Allan does not actually key the input, that is completed by one of the staff specialists; however, he reviews every return and accompanying schedules. I like the fact that I've seen the same faces year after year. I know you're wondering about cost ... it's a function of the number and complexity of schedules ... so our cost each year has varied. We just signed off on our 5th year of returns. The turn around time was 3 days (including Sunday). If you're looking for a consummate tax professional ... Allan G. Bolden, C.P.A. is the practice for you.
