I think it sometimes takes her longer to file my return but I feel as if she checks and double checks everything before sending to try to get the most refund she can for me (or the least I have to pay)! I have been going to her for 6 yrs now and have not experienced any problems. Sometimes the wait is long but a lot of people have shown up on walk-in days, alongside of myself. I am most impressed by the fact that everyone I talk to in the waiting room has been seeing her for 20 or 30 yrs. or more and often consider her to be family. She has even gone as far as giving me a reduced fee when she knew I was going through a financial hardship. I don't know of anyone else that gives the level of personal service that she does.

You see, our first year's tax returns involved two states, multiple cash flows, distributions, purchase and sale of two properties, business interests, etc. , requiring proficiency above punching numbers into a canned tax program. While certainly I could have done it all myself, I wanted the benefit of tax advice and assurance that each return and associated schedules would be prepared correctly (read: lowest tax liability). As I was interested in a small office/sole practitioner, Allan G.Bolden, C.P.A., presented exactly the interface I was looking for. The front office staff is friendly, professional and efficient. Each January, we receive a notebook in which I complete tax-related proprietary forms and attach official documents which simplify the practice's information gathering phase. During our appointment, we discussed (with Allan) changes in our lives over the last year ... and anything that we could foresee ... that could affect our tax position in 2017. Allan does not actually key the input, that is completed by one of the staff specialists; however, he reviews every return and accompanying schedules.
