A few days ago I had some work done on my Hoda Element at a different shop where i felt the cost…read moreseemed to be a little high but I had to get the job done. At the same time this other place did a once over on my Element. They gave me a written list of things that they found wrong with the vehicle. I knew I could get a better price on the work so called around and got an appointment at Express Oil& Tire on 58. When I went in I told Steve what the other shop had told me and got a quote from him for the needed repairs. I told him to do the repairs and left my Element with them. About an hour after I left the shop I got a call from the shop supervisor, he was a little confused. The other shop had said that my front lower control arm was bad and need to be replace. The shop supervisor said that they had tested both side and they were both good. Now I was confused as well. I returned to Express Oil and they brought me back to the bay where car was and showed me that what the other shop had said was bad was not. I said great. I was able to save some money. I was also going to have the rear brakes done. The other shop had said that the pad and rotors were bad and i needed to replace both pads and rotors. The shop supervisor showed me that my rotors were fine, I new they were less than two years old and that all I needed were new pads. Because the mechanics and guys in this shop took the time to actually check out what the other shop had written on the list and found that list to be incorrect, they saved me in excess of 875.00 in repair costs that the other shop would have charged and tricked me into unnecessary work. I trust the team at Express Oil & Tire on 58 and will be bring my family's vehicles there for service.

I put "did" in quotations because I don't think they even did the front brakes or roaders! Hell maybe they did the wrong ones, I don't know, but i do know we had to pay Hyde's automotive to do them because i will never bring either car back to express tire. My whole family took all our cars there for as long as i remember, but not any more after Steve retired. The new guy was weird and rude to both me and my husband on separate occasions. I literally hunted Steve down on Facebook to ask him where we should go now. Hyde's has been awesome, professional, and better priced so far. Express tire sucks now and I'm pissed to be spending $400-500 today that I shouldn't have to be. Thanks for nothing, you lost our whole family's business
