After the "radiator" was installed, they said it looks like it needs a "water pump" because the radiator coolant wasn't circulating through the engine. It seemed they were just doing one thing after another and CHARGING ME yet, STILL MY CAR ISN'T RUNNING without overheating. They were a rip off. I wouldn't recommend them for anything other than tires.

PriceGeek was the best prices for the parts but we found that OEM $? or ACDelco 266.00 or Gates $? or Moray( lifetime warranty) 180.00 are the best water pumps. This pump would be for a chevy 3500 van and don't even have to take the radiator out to get to it. Too many mechanics will only guarantee the pump they put in for 1 year n not even lifetime which is not right. Who wants to keep putting cheap water pumps in and cheap gaskets that cause it to leak too quickly and having to put them in over and over again? Get a good one with preferably a lifetime warranty the first time. It's too much money and too hard to do these jobs over and over again. Get Good gaskets! Get a Good pump in the first place! ...or you will be sorry. And get guaranteed lifetime labor! To charge over 1200.00 is a Total rip off! This is double what all the others charge. Just an extra Note: And the pump manufacturer this company gobbler uses wont give a warranty at all unless you have a full coolant flush with it they said. They did not say which water pump they use. Maybe they already know they will have to do it again n so they charge double just in case. If we weren't older then we could buy the pump ourselves n do it much cheaper. And some say they catch the coolant n reuse it if it's clean, but we wouldn't. 180.00-266.00 pump with pulley, 40.00 or less for the belt, 75.00 coolant n a few clamps. So for around 300.00 to 385.00 we could do it ourselves depending on whether we put on a new belt. So they are making around 800.00 for labor here. Shame Shame!

Last month I was on a road trip through Appalachia when I began experiencing some issues with my car. I called ahead about an hour in advance before I got to Cleveland and asked if there was any way I could get in that afternoon to get an alignment done. After being rejected by several other tire and auto shops in SE Tennessee/SW North Carolina I was discouraged, but Family Tire and Auto was able to get me in help me. While my car was being worked on, the mechanic noticed an oil leak and was able to resolve that issue as well. If it wasn't for them I would not have been able to get to Nashville (my destination for that evening) and I would have incurred much more costly damage to my car. Additionally, its important for me to acknowledge that Family Tire & Auto represents a cornerstone of the American economy that has faded over the years and - small, local, family-owned businesses, which I encourage us all to go out of our way to support. From my phone call to the receptionist (the owners granddaughter I believe?) to my experience with the mechanics, I felt that I was treated and cared for as family- despite just being a random traveler passing through. I took my truck to a reputable shop. I then found out that top tech didn't do the work i was charged. They replaced injectors but didn't clean the fuel tank or fuel line.
