The facilities are well kept and the staff works to make families feel welcome. Had a nice family picnic today even though it rained.

My parents have lived there for about a year…read more My mom fell getting into bed early one the morning. She pressed her emergency button and it took almost two hours until someone responded. Luckily she was not seriously injured and was discharged from the hospital the same day. The executive director and I discussed this and the system has been tested and modified and her pendant will be checked. The dryer has been replaced once (with a used one from another apartment) and still takes hours to dry a single load. This is very stressful for her. After discussing with the executive director, the setup will be replaced and technicians will be in to check the installation. Maintenance requests are an issue. I am not sure if the requests are being entered correctly or are being lost or if there is an issue with how they are being communicated. The cleaning, dining room and front desk staff are caring and try to help. I am more comfortable after a discussion with the director, time will tell.

She was very apolgetic and she said all of my complaints have been reviewed with the staff and my mom would receive much better care. My mom was telling the staff that they didnt need to help her she could do it herself. She didnt want to inconvience anybody. All is well and I'm sure there will be much improvement now that these issues have been addressed. Thank you Kimberly for all of your help.

Grande point is disgusting place. 1 Rick in the financial department is money hungry!…read more Number 2 my father was in this facility for 14 months until he passed away April 16th 2026. I would like to state, I walked into my father's room to visit , his sheet was straight no wrinkles his hands were on his stomach when i.looked under the sheet he passed away. I daughter found him passed, someone must have known . I arrived about 9 30 am. Wasn't there a person that passes breakfast to the room? There was no breakfast tray, anyways I went to the front desk to tell the nurses that my father passed away . Nurses were having a good time laughing . We went to the room were he was passed away. The nurse stated I just gave him his meds 30 min ago. Yet my father's skin was gray eyes sunk in straight sheet and hands on stomach. I rate this experience ZERO

If you're considering placing a vulnerable family member here -- please think twice…read more My loved one was admitted to Grand Pointe for post-hospital recovery with advanced liver and kidney failure. I had full Power of Attorney and had made it absolutely clear that a specific individual was legally barred from contact due to prior abuse and interference. Despite this, that person was allowed into the building multiple times, including an incident where he tried to remove her from the facility without medical clearance. Less than a week later, she went into alcohol withdrawal during dialysis, required CPR, and was hospitalized with ethanol in her system -- something that never should have happened inside a controlled care facility. When I flew in from out of state to see for myself, I walked right through the front door at 7 p.m., no sign-in, no check, no cameras, no one stopped me. I spent five minutes in her room -- completely unchallenged. Her room was dusty, her belongings were missing, and multiple nurses were still speaking with the individual I had legally prohibited. To this day, I've received no apology, no explanation, and not even a courtesy follow-up after she nearly died. Yet the facility had no issue charging over $15,000 for her stay. This place failed at every level: no security, no accountability, and no respect for patient safety. Their negligence set my loved one back weeks in recovery and nearly cost her her life. Families deserve better than this.

I've been using home care services for my father provided by Visiting Angels for about a year now…read more I was very concerned about having anyone in my father's home but I had no choice. I had to go to work, among other responsibilities! After checking out providers and services, Visiting Angels was highly recommended. I knew I wanted to utilize a company with a good track record in this field. The Cleveland office of Visiting Angels has been in business for over 14 years. I did my own due diligence, personally speaking with several current and former clients. I also took an additional step to contact independent referral sources to see what companies they spoke highly of. They can never give you just one company, but the Cleveland office of Visiting Angels was on everyone's top 5 list of referrals. Every reference that I personally called, whether from Visiting Angels or from social workers and referral sources, had great comments about their experience and/or their reputation. Now, as I come up on a year of service, I can happily report that my experience and that of my father, paralleled all of the good references. Their staff members, or caregivers that have been with my father, have been very attentive, reliable and trustworthy. He has his 'angels', as he refers to them, around the clock! He is happy and pretty content. He likes how they take care of him, and I like how responsible they have been. He is 93 years old; a depression era, WWII vet survivor; he deserves the best! I was also surprised at how focused Visiting Angels has been at regularly checking in with me by phone to see how things are going! They even use an independent company that called me to do a survey about the quality of their workers and the responsiveness of their office. In total, I can highly recommend Visiting Angels to anyone needing caregiver services for their elderly loved one!
