Got the propane tanks filled while here, the maintenance guy picked them up and dropped them back to me at my site in under and hour easy, and it was very reasonable. A fairly level gravel base site, with water, power and sewer all within a few feet of each other making hook up straight forward and simple enough. Low maintenance established landscaping between the sites adds some privacy. The pull through where we stayed in the park had a picnic table, along with a gas grill and a covered pergola with a bench swing in the front. All overlooking a field with horses. The parking pads are a decent size and we had one right on the river. Since we were there in October, there wasn't a whole lot to do especially in the creek. It was evident at the time that big Mike was still working on expanding and building his dream RV park. The open area field is perfect for families so kids can run around or play ball. The hiking trails were very nice and everything was clear from Helene so we could access them. We were camping in our RV but there are so many great accommodations if you don't have anything to camp in. To me the best thing was the bathroom and shower! I have never been to a campground that had such great showers!! Incredibly clean and they have shampoo, conditioner and body wash in there for you to use. They even had towels rolled up in cubbies! Who has that! We loved it so much that we already booked a spot for next year :)

The dog park gave our pup the chance to run free, the clean bathhouses gave us a place to freshen up and the location gave us the ability to explore all Asheville had to offer, climb to the top of Mount Mitchell (the highest point East of the Mississippi) and just enjoy the surroundings. Our site had a full hook up, electric and water (even with temps in the low 20's at night), we had a fire ring (or square), a picnic table perched on the deck, cantilevered over the stream, and lovely (back-in) site with privacy and shade. There is nice landscaping between spaces and several of the spaces had decks over the trout stream. This RV Park has added many acres next door and is expanding. He also dates his staff, his former Manager Bonnie what great she cared and was always available for us 24/7 and lived onsite and when he was done with her, he fired and evicted her, she was a single mom with no place to go so she lost her housing and her job. The new manger was never available, she, and relied on the some of the resident to do her job after hours and at the same time they were allowed to break the rules and when you complained about them, she ignored it. prices went up and the residents suffered. There are no amenities for the price you pay, he doesn't give any discounts especially to Veterans, they make you pay to have a DNA test of your dog's poop if your long term. They say they are a 45 and up adults only, and they are not. The owner has party's and the people going to the party race through the parking campground along with the golf carts that do not follow the speed limit. And heaven forbid if you are a good resident who pay their site fee on time and follow the rules but have a few friends over then he evicts you, he picks and chooses who you are allowed to have visit you onsite and at your camper, has even made threats to good resident he would evict if they have them onsite again. Quite time is at 9pm and the staff who live onside are not allowed to be social with the resident's if they are the owner fire and evicts them on the spot. Although when neighboring site is shouting obscenities at each other as they pour out their pee bucket - guess they didn't like the bathrooms either - maybe looking at the scores of people on the other side is preferable. Loud, inconsiderate, and misleading. Definitely do not recommend to anyone. What a great waste of money and terrible experience for the family.
