I was having a good experience coming in here for Dermatology or Family Medicine, but recently'…read moreI've hit the "final straw". Booking an appointment with any Dr. here is close to impossible. Recently I had an appointment that I was no longer able to make and needed to re-schedule it. There was NO availability with any of the doctor's in that department for the next three months, and they only get schedules three months at a time, so I was told I couldn't reschedule. It's ridiculous in my opinion because any time I need a follow up after an appointment, I am able to get an appointment the follow month with plenty of times to choose from. I went around and around on the phone trying to understand why the system is set up like that but kept getting reverted back to "that's just how it is and there are no appointments available". The cost here for routine appointments is really high with insurance too here, so maybe this is a blessing for me to take my business elsewhere. Other places I'm not nickled and dimed for just sitting in the waiting room. This location needs to step it up and either 1. high more Dr.'s for the different department or 2. Stop accepting new patients for a while because it's clogging the system for pre-existing people that have emergencies pop up and need appointments or re-schedules.

Cannot say enough good things about Henry Ford and the Troy location. I have only come to Troy for…read moreprimary care, but every visit has been five star. Booking is easy through MyChart, the doctors are fabulous (Dr. Tumbarella is AMAZING), and I couldn't be happier with the care I am receiving. I know that health care is personal and the degree to which we are satisfied depends on our response to care (a kind way of saying some people aren't happy no matter what), but I've never gotten less than 100% from every member of the Henry Ford Troy team. Highly Recommended.

They processed a refund for me (I'd reached deductible and didn't know it yet) and I got it just fine. The therapist I'm seeing is the best I've ever had and has helped me through some long-standing issues. I had no prior knowledge of this practice and selected them on a whim, but they've done a great job and I have no complaints. Prescription refills are a breeze to get as well.

As a grieving mother seeking help after the death of my son, I was hoping for basic empathy and human connection. Instead, I encountered a striking lack of understanding and sensitivity. One practitioner suggested that I read a book about a Holocaust survivor turned psychotherapist. The same practitioner told me that I should try smiling at people when I go out in public. In the context of profound grief, these suggestions felt tone-deaf and inappropriate rather than supportive. What was most troubling was the overall lack of emotional attunement. I did not feel heard or understood, and the care felt impersonal and mechanical. People seeking medication management are often in vulnerable situations. Compassion and thoughtful communication matter just as much as clinical knowledge. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
