Dr. Alan Bunney has provided me with equally excellent health care. Troy Medical is the only office that is open six days per week. The staff is superb. I'm a medical provider myself and know the importance of seeing patients at their appointment time. I had an appointment at 9:30AM and sat in a room waiting for the doctor until 11AM. Unacceptable service. I don't normally leave reviews. Only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the doctor was calm and reasonable with my medical diagnosis. I have used this establishment as my general practitioner for three years now. I love how they do not take appointments so I can go in whenever I need to that is convenient to me. It does take some time depending when you go but I love the flexibility. The staff is very friendly and the doctors are helpful and knowledgeable. I have visited here for physicals, flu shots, allergy tests, and sicknesses. They take blue cross blue shield and are organized. At times it costs more than I would have liked without much info on how much it would cost beforehand. read more

Came here last Saturday for a COVID test. I had been having symptoms because a friend showed up to a group dinner (six people) and announced her bf had COVID symptoms - sure enough, he tested positive the next day, and now two of us from the dinner, including immunocompromised me, have it. Originally I went to Beaumont Urgent Care in Troy, since I had been there before, but I arrived at 9:30am and they quoted me a 12:30pm test time. I looked on Google and found this place, and they said there wasn't a huge wait at the time. When I arrived, they gave me some paperwork to fill out and then had me fill it out in my car. They said to move to the back of the building, the back door is where they bring in the people waiting to be tested. I had to use the bathroom meanwhile (Crohn's) so they let me in to use it. I originally was going to do a PCR test but because I had symptoms, they said to do a rapid test. They swabbed me, then LOST my original swab (WTF ...) so they reswabbed me. They also did an X-ray to make sure I didn't have (congestion? build-up?) in my lungs. Sure enough, positive for COVID, which means no Xmas for me this year (or rather, it's postponed until after my 10-day quarantine period, which ends 12/26, possibly later depending on symptoms). A doctor came to talk to me about how to quarantine, what to do/not do, etc. but it took a long time. This is really more of a 3-star review but they get 4 stars from me because they were able to see me quickly-ish. They also gave me a steroid shot and I think that helped, because Sunday I felt good, and then Monday I felt super tired (COVID symptom). They also prescribed some steroid pills, after consulting my PCP and GI doctors about those I am taking those this week too. Overall I would come here again if I needed a COVID test, as it's close to my house and seemed to have much less of a wait than Beaumont Urgent Care did, on a Saturday morning. read more

The billing staff are very rude. Some one called me and said there is a balance for my family. I paid everything by end of Jan close to $800. Looks like it didn't include the visits in Jan, from the beginning of the call to end of the call, the lady was threatening me on the balance. Ugh. If you want medical care at a place where a doctor rushes between patients without thoroughly washing his hands, calls you pet names so he doesn't have to remember your name, and wants to see you monthly for primary care, than this is the place for you. An added bonus is rather than privacy, you're treated in a "hospital triage" type setting, even for a highly personal, primary care visit. No joke, I was seen with nothing but a flimsy curtain between me and some grandpa who complained that he gets a burning headache every time he ejaculates. A frequency he cited to be "as many times a day as possible." On my side of the curtain, it was all about boobs. But not sexy or fun: scary. The purpose of my visit was to get a referral for a breast MRI. I wrote in my personal notes, which I bring to every doctor I see, "get breast MRI referral." I have breast pain, my mother had breast cancer. Her mother died of breast cancer. I know a good radiologist can spot issues on an MRI that a mammogram image or ultrasound image cannot pickup. My dad is an engineer in MRI technology and we have a radiologist in the family. I get a breast MRI every 5 years. My mother's cancer was caught, by MRI at stage 0. I shared this purpose with the doctor and everyone I spoke with at this clinic. Grandpa Yankee might even have heard on his side of the curtain. At the end of my visit which was otherwise okay, one perk is they draw blood there for labs, I went to leave the clinic and they handed me an order for a mammogram and MRI. I had my mammogram and scheduled my MRI only to get a call from Katherine at Troy Med Clinic asking me WHO orders the MRI. Uh you. She said they did not order the MRI, despite the order form I have from them. Katherine is one of the rudest and most obnoxious people I have ever spoken with from a medical facility. She asked me to email the order back to her so she could see it, which I did, only for her to claim it is incorrect. Katherine said she spoke with the doctor and he didn't remember the MRI or put it in my chart. This same doctor who would rather call me honey than remember my name recalls my medical history? LOL. I don't know what is going on with my breast pain but I know I won't be back for the cattle call at Troy Medical Clinic. Find a doctor who cares about you, listens to you and values your health more than your money. read more

**Update for #2 below - they were doing 3-month supplies, but my pharmacy was putting no refills on the bottle by mistake. The pharmacy did confirm I have several months of refills in the system. However, it took this review before anyone noticed that me coming in every month and asking for a 3-month supply was weird/off/incorrect. I will say that this experience did break my trust with this provider, and I will still be looking for a new doctor come January when I will need to have my A1C reviewed again. ** I've been going to this doctor for several years now. At first, this was a great doctor, got my medications sorted out, and I didn't have any complaints. This year has been completely different. I know I will be looking for a new doctor as a result of my last visit. 1. Don't go to this doctor if you are fat. No matter your problem, your weight will be brought up. If you get Dr. Noor Bunny, at some point he will mention his weight loss plan where you come in once a week, pay $125, and get an IV. No talk of seeing a nutritionist, keeping a food journal so they can make suggestions, or sample grocery lists to fit within budgets with recipes to go along with them, nothing. 2. Don't go to this doctor if you are poor. As a diabetic, I have to go to my GP at least 4 times a year to keep my medication levels correct. This means my prescriptions are always supposed to be 3-month supplies. These nurses and techs love to submit your prescriptions for only 1 month at a time to force you to come in every month to pay them another $35 co-pay and they can charge your insurance too. Even after repeatedly telling them I cannot afford to be coming in every month, they still like to only give 1-month supply prescriptions. 3. Don't be diabetic. You will never get any real advice except to eat more meat and vegetables. They automatically assume and treat you like you are just stuffing your face with candy. Again - no suggestions with a sample grocery list to match your budget (considering the price of meat), no offer to set you up with a nutritionist, and no suggestion to do a food journal so they can deep dive into your eating habits. 4. Absolutely, under no circumstances should you ever do a fasting diabetic test. Because they do not do appointments, they are a first come first served office. Most of the time, this is great, but if you are being hounded to come in when you've fasted as a diabetic, expect to have your sugar crash before you leave. I arrived at about 8:20am, didn't get in to see anyone until nearly 10am and I was finally able to get back on the road at 11am. I was already dealing with diabetic rage as my sugar was crashing which means I cannot control my emotions. I was already into my second stage of sugar crash (mine are extreme hunger with a short temper/ fuse aka diabetic rage, unable to cool off, and finally the shakes) and yes, I was being short with everyone. Instead of getting any kind of understanding, Dr. Bunny comes in and reminds me that there are other doctors out there (mind you he was not the one I saw that day). I had been told every time I brought up the long wait time for a fasting test that all I had to do was let the front desk staff know and they would at least get me to the back bench so someone could take my blood and get me out of there. It's a lie. No one cares. There are no deviations from their first in first out policy. In short, they don't care about you and only want your money, and if you are also overweight, that is all they will ever see you as. read more

I am seeing Dr. Noor Bunney for about 15 yrs. He is easily accessible for treatment through walk-in. I got a bill for my recent visit this month Apr. 2024 for $390, where the billing was exorbidant ($160 for diagnosis, $60 for X-Ray, $50 for flu test, $20 for steroid injection and $100 for Covid Test . When asked about the details of the bill they were not able to give a justified answer on why the charges are so high but offered me a $50 credit if I can pay the bill immediately. Billing from this Dr. Office has become like a grocery bill where prices are increased and offered a 50 to 70% discount on the purchase. Hope somebody in this office reviews and take steps to charge patients a reasonable enough bill for their services. Patients are already going through many things and this exorbidant billing adds to them emotionally. Medical Service is considered a noble profession for many and Doctor's are next to God. Please show some sympathy while coming to billing patients for your services. read more

I can't say enough about the staff here along with the outstanding medical care by the docs. I used to come here just if I was sick but I have switched to them being my PCP. First off their ENTIRE staff is pleasant and friendly. The people that bash Tim are nuts. Tim and Jerry are incredibly friendly and know their stuff. There is another amazing woman that works the desk but I never got her name. Both Dr. Bunney St and Jr. are amazing caring doctors. Yes this is a walk in so my average time there is probably over an hour. Today with standing room only it was 2 1/2 hours. Long compared to my prior doctor that it was 20 minutes. However they take the time to listen. Even though they are slammed both docs give you all the time you need to talk. And they listen and believe you. They do a thorough checkup. I've seen people complain that they just want money by making you come in every month for meds. NOT so. Yes they only give you one month to start. They want you back to make sure it's working. If it is they will give you 90 day supply. And also I have non existent veins. Getting blood drawn the last 48 years has been a source of anxiety for me. I let Tiffany know and she got it immediately. No poking several times or looking for someone else to try. I've also NEVER had an issue with billing. Please give them a shot. If you can withstand the wait you will get the best treatment and they do everything whether you are sick, depressed or like my daughter battling an autoimmune disease. Their bedside manner is the best I've ever expected and both doctors care. They are walk in so everyone has a chance to be seen and they work long after their close times so no one that needs care is turned away. I don't know how these doctors have any sort of life between the practice, being on call 24/7 and hospital visits but this patient appreciates every person working there!!!! read more

Great service. Easy going group of people who work here. They don't talk down to you like most doctors. Dr Evan specifically was great. He was really easy to talk to and took the time to explain things unlike most doctors who try to rush through meetings to get to their next patient. He did a great job addressing all of my concerns and working with my budget. And they don't try to force a bunch of medication on you get irritated when you ask why something needs to be done. I wish I had a better experience but I must say I was highly disappointed. The staff was friendly. Although my doctor seemed very uninterested in looking into any of my concerns. She seemed bothered and not engaged to address my questions or give general professional advice. I was looking to go to this place for primary care so I went for a regular checkup although it felt very far from that. I felt very rushed and wasn't sure if I was getting detailed care. After asking Doctor Angela about some of my personal concerns she THEN shared I did score negatively high on one of the prescreening test. Had I never asked I would not have known that. After trying to ask more questions (just of my general health) it was very clear the doctor had no intentions into looking into anything or even talking to me further. The person that administered my flu shot was underaged and didn't wear any medical clothing. As a whole I was very disappointed with my experience I was hoping for a much better experience. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Bunney (s), both father and son. Dr. Bunney senior saved my husband's life by picking up on a life threatening condition he had. He has a great personality in dealing with my husband who is not an easy patient and requires great patience. Dr. Bunney's son came to my rescue when my previous primary care doctor was going to make me wait over a month for an appointment when I was in great leg pain. Dr. Bunney (junior) showed care, concern, patience and diagnosed my very bad knee as the source of my pain. It was done with expedience and a wonderful bed side manner. My former doctor was advised of my problem a year earlier and only ordered hip X-rays which showed nothing. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Dr. Bunney is very rude. He makes you come in every month to have your prescription refilled so he can charge your insurance and collect your copay. I had to wait 2 hours today (since he doesn't take appointments) to see him for a 3 minute appointment. I asked the nurse if there was an easier way to get the prescription refilled. She then proceeded to tell him I was frustrated. He then charged in the room and asked me if I'm "pissed off ...why don't I go see another doctor". That is not how you should treat your patients especially when you're charging their insurance once a month. read more

Staff was friendly, the wait time is unpredictable as it is walk in only. As far as the doctor goes, I'm highly disappointed. I went in for a cold/bad cough, etc I had for a couple weeks. He prescribed antibiotics. No improvement so I went back. Another two sets of antibiotics. Cough wasn't as bad but still present and breathing getting difficult. Everything else still the same, including fullness of ear that is making it difficult to hear. So I went back and was prescribed two more antibiotics and an inhaler. Another week later I'm the same and my ear has now gotten worse. I just switched jobs and am currently without insurance. So now I'm stuck because this guy just kept wanting me to come back so he can make money instead of getting me better. I most certainly will not be returning here once my new health plan starts. read more

There are a lot of pros and cons with Troy Medical. It's walk-in, Doc is very good and truly knows your history. Cons: The wait is unpredictable, usually lengthy and in a room filled with some very sick folks. Doc requires you to return every 90 days for RX refills of longterm meds (ie BP) which requires sitting in a room filled with clearly very sick patients. They need a sick vs well-waiting​ room. The worst part...which may cause me to find a new primary doctor, is they treat the symptom of the day, and they'll do rudimentary​ quicky tests that allow them to bill extra to insurance companies. They never really do age-related​ preventative screening I would expect out of my primary. That's not good. read more

Have used Troy Medical for at least 20 years and always felt Dr Bunney was very competent. It is a drop in facility, therefore wait times can vary, usually not more than 30 minutes. Recently Dr Bunney's son joined the practice improving wait time. Staff has always been efficient. It is with great pleasure, I write this note regarding my medical treatment for the past 20 years. I can't begin to thank Troy Medical enough for the wonderful care that they have given our family. Dr. Bunney has been there for broken bones, stitches, burns, pneumonia, gall bladder, back problems, cancer and many more. The number of times I have walked into the office on my lunch hour or after work, he has always had time for me. I do not know of another clinic who can handle X-Ray's, EKG's or minor surgery within a couple of hours. If we went to Beaumont, it would have been 4 or 5 hours. I am comforted by the fact that we can be seen without an appointment the day of our sickness and the diagnoses is always spot on. When I had my bout with cancer, I would come to the office as much as 2 times a week, he smiled and answered all my concerns and gave me hope. Now that new Physicians are added to the staff, the wait time decreased immensely, and some days I walk right in. Medical care is a very important decision and we need to make the right choices. I've been seeing Dr. Bunney since I was less than a year old (now 28 years old) and I have nothing but good things to say about him. My parents also see him, and he took care of my grandmother before she passed. He knows his medicine and has gotten me through many a throat infection as well as my yearly bout of bronchitis. He's also the only one I trust to keep my ADD and depression in check. He remembers so much about every patient and always asks me how school is going, how work is, etc. He is always so pleasant and very compassionate. He only wants the best for his patients. I often wonder how he has time to sleep between working here all day as well as working at the hospital. When I was hospitalized for my depression, he stopped by every single morning to see how I was doing which is above and beyond anything that would have been expected of him. I will continue to see Dr. Bunney for as long as possible, and I don't see him retiring any time soon. I highly recommend! I should also mention that I have seen at least one complete turnover in nursing staff (retirements and whatnot) and yet every single nurse I've ever dealt with has been fantastic! read more
