I arrived to get my PCR test and parked by 8:55 AM. One of the staff members, Shelby came up to my passenger window to hand me the paperwork to fill out and gave me a Emcura pen as well. Shelby gave me paperwork to fill out and to put on my dash by 8:56am. This man in a blue jacket met me at the front of the parking lot and driveway to guide me to where I needed to go for my PCR testing. My temperature is well under 98. Another woman came to collect my insurance and my ID card, while I filled out the paperwork. Filled out my paperwork by 9:05am. They have a lot of staff here. The same lad that took my ID came to collect my paperwork and to get back my ID. They told me to keep the pen, since it had been in my car. They take all precautions here and take the virus very seriously. They don't need a script here at all, no symptoms required either. My doctor had wanted to provide them with his script paperwork, so that they would provide the results to them directly. They can't and won't send to doctors at all before a procedure. I will have to pass it along myself. The nasal swab today was much more invasive than the first time I had it done. It was shoved it up so far and that it made my eyes flood with tears, that's way up there for sure. Quick and efficient service here for sure. Would get it done here anytime required again. read more

COVID Testing before an international flight: don't trust EMCURA on Maple Road and Telegraph My son and I needed to fly to Europe because of the passing of a close relative in the Netherlands. We took our PCR tests on Sunday, 51 hours before departure. PCR test results for time-sensitive cases like ours are promised in 24-36 hours, which was fine for us. They did not deliver, though, and it is impossible to get anybody on the phone. So I drove over there twice to follow up. They just do the marketing and take swabs, but have outsourced the actual test work to a lab and have no clue on the status. And have not delivered the results. Horrible to be dependent on amateurs like Emcura when you need to fly out for a funeral of a close relative. Or for an important business trip, for that matter. read more

I had a good experience getting a PCR covid test at this drive-up location. As others have noted in google reviews, the parking lot is small so it can get full easily but I persisted and was able to get through the line, swabbed, and on my way in 30-40 minutes. Being that I got it done Thanksgiving week (and there was a surge in cases), I thought my results might be returned closer to the 3 day marker (they say it's a 1-3 day turnaround time) but I received my results by email in just 30 hours! I should also note, I called ahead of time with questions but had a hard time reaching a live person so I left a voicemail and received a call back within 24 hours no problem. They verified you do not need an appointment and do not need to be a resident of Michigan to be tested at this location. Again, great overall experience. Very thankful for everyone working this testing site and for all the healthcare workers. read more

I was diagnosed with Covid which went into pneumonia. I had to go to the hospital I the middle of the night. I called Emcura the next day and they were ok'd me to come in. They have been treating me for over four weeks. They have been nothing short of amazing. They have been calling to check on me, managing my medications to find something to help. Dr. K and his wife are caring compassionate Doctor's who care about their patients. Their staff has been equally amazing. Thank you. Usually, Emcura is my go to place. The Doctors and staff are great, so I want to emphasize that this rating applies only to their COVID-19 drive-thru and staff. I am an unwell, immunodeficient single mother. I have never been to a drive thru covid testing site before. Prior to arriving, I called the office to see what the protocols were. I was told to PARK in one of the "designated covid parking spaces" when I arrived. I did not see any "designated" spaces, so I parked one row over from the tent. After Waiting 10-15 mins in my car, I called the office again. I was then instructed to pull into a space NEXT to the red tent, as soon as one became available. Meanwhile, two vehicles had just entered the lot, and grabbed the spaces before I could. Sadly, they were prioritized and attended to right away. I finally pulled around to the tent to inquire. The male nurse informed me that the info I received from the office (twice),was incorrect, and I would have to wait in the "covid line," where cars were just beginning to line up. The male nurse was more concerned with speaking to the receptionist who misinformed me, rather than trying to assist me. Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of time. I found the signs to be utterly confusing, as well as the cones scattered throughout the lot. I followed the receptionist's instructions, yet I was still unapologetically bumped to the back of the line. This makes me wonder how many others have had similar experiences at this testing site, who are currently walking around with probable cases due to an ineffective system. I've reviewed them in the past. And I am pleased to say their service is still excellent today. The nurse practitioner was upbeat and friendly. While there was a short wait due to the COVID 19 pandemic, it was well within reason and everyone was pleasant and efficient. My only regret is their hours now... Only open till 6 PM -Which saddens me. This was a great resource in the past for after hours care. I hope they extend hours again in the future. read more

Very disappointed. Went in on Saturday sick and had flu swab, they ran out of test kits which should've been my first red flag but promised to send out stat and have back on Sunday or Monday. I called 3 times Monday and they still didn't have it. Today, Thursday called back again and they finally bothered to call the lab just to find out that somehow my labs were canceled. I expect basic due diligence and follow up, instead nobody bothered to even check what's going on Will not be back there again ********** I did get a follow up from the owner and he's personally followed up with me several times to see how I'm doing and prescribed me antibiotics. This was the worst experience ever! If I could do 0 stars, I would rate them 0. I went here to take my kid because they were open before our doctor and a friend highly recommended this place. I took my kid in because of high fever and the nurse checked and said he didn't have a fever. They said they will check for flu and strep which I was happy about but they left and never came back. I had to go find someone after 30 mins to see if we should leave or not. They then said oh yeah both came back negative. I asked the doctor to check my kids temp again since I couldn't believe he didn't have a fever and she said "oh he does have a fever...I felt that when I was checking him. The nurse probably just did it fast." So And we paid $20 co pay for not even an accurate temperature reading...just so we can go see our own doctor for actual medical advise. What a waste of money and time! So we went to another urgent care to double check since we were sure my kid was sick and his temp was 103 and he tested positive for influenza A...but Emcura sent us home saying he has no fever and no flu! read more

I saw Dr. Sookkasikon on New Years Eve Day. I planned on walking in but, to my surprise, I could make and appointment time on ZocDoc. I could even fill out the initial patient forms on line! Maybe the best customer service experience I have ever had....much less at a medical office. The staff was friendly and helpful on the phone, but when I got to the office, they were even more so. Fast, efficient and as soon as I was done with my paperwork they took me back. The facility is extremely clean. After the initial work-up by the nurse, the doctor came in after only three minutes. Again, very friendly and patient. Spent way more time with me than I expected and got me my prescription ordered while he was still in the examination room I went to them because of their reviews on Yelp and Google.....I am here working for six months and didn't know anyone here. Went there (after reading Yelp reviews) when neither my reg doc or gyno could see me for what was obviously a rapidly worsening UTI. Called ahead and they said wait was 20 minutes. I was very impressed with the clean, modern waiting area and also the appearance that they at least consider more natural or wholistic treatments. Dr. Jen saw me - wait was as described -and a quick test confirmed that my self-diagnosis was correct. I'll be going back here when I need to. The clinic owners appear to practice "integrative medicine", which is something I believe in and will consider treating there in the future for non-emergency care. read more

Update: Dr. Kesliker called me within a half hour of posting my review and was very responsive to my concerns. He had me come right in to xray my foot and give me a different referral. As I said in my initial review this was my first bad experience and they went out of the way to correct it and I appreciate it. While I have been a long time fan and given several referrals to friends for Emcura my last visit this past Saturday was a completely disappointing experience. I came in right at 9 because I had to be at work early that afternoon. I SIGNED IN at 9:10 and the receptionist asked if I had been there before and I told her I had. There were 3 people before me and 2 that came in after me. After the entire waiting room cleared out except for me I went back up to the desk to say I thought she had forgot me (only 5 people in the waiting room should not have gone unnoticed) and she said "DID YOU SIGN IN" I told her I had and she checked the board and sure enough she had just moved right past me. She asked for my name and said I had never been there before-I told her I had and even had a bill on my kitchen counter (not for me but a member of my family so something should have come up). After taking all my info I then was moved back to a room where I waited over an hour. When I was seen the Dr told me it was beyond urgent care (I think I have a stress fracture in my foot, she thought a ganglian cyst) and gave me a specialist name (just on a white piece of paper no formal document) and said she would not do an xray because the specialist would just redo it (I do appreciate being cautious about the number of xrays you expose me to) and sent me on my way after a 2+ hour wait. I asked at the desk about my copay and she said she couldn't pull it up and I questioned this because I heard her tell another patient if they had to bill her for her copay vs paying in the office it would be double and I did not want to incur any more expense for basically 2 hours of waiting. So today I call the specialist who does not want to see me without an xray diagnosis and now I am back at square one.... read more

Being sick is a drag. But finding a peaceful and inviting urgent care made it a little better. I had avoided going to typical urgent care because they are dingy, stale, littered with pharma marketing, and I usually leave there feeling more sick than when i had arrived. I googled a bit, discovered Emcura Urgent Care and booked an appointment online. With their upscale environment, Emcura was clean and inviting. Paperwork took less then 30 seconds, the staff was friendly, and Dr. Sookkasikon was kind and helpful. I'm fortunate to have been here several times and I've really come to appreciate the services offered! I most recently had an injury and went to the emergency room after hours. An x-ray was taken and waa summarily cleared of injury, but my pain persisted. Several hours later as a pain was getting worse I want to see Emcura and happened to see Dr. Kesliker. He saw that the pain and swelling had significantly worsened and that I couldn't move my hand. An x-ray was taken and he noted abnormailities in the area of pain. In addition, I had a radiologist report in hand in 10 minutes which confirmed a fracture! The area was splinted and an appointment was made by their staff with a hand surgeon within the next several days! My care on this occasion along with many others has always been thorough and compassionate! I have really come to appreciate the effort they put into seeing their patients and respect the team of providers they have put together! Great job! They are all very detailed in explaining what next steps are or explaining symptoms and how/why they were happening. Yesterday was my second time visiting and they made sure I was feeling better and all of my questions were answered before leaving. I have gone there for other issues. Just went for a PCR Covid test. I was told turn around was 24-48 hours. No one ever emailed me from NorthWest Labs. 5 days later I called Emcura the person on the phone looked up my results and said they were available the day after I had the test! No email with results! I came to get a simple strep test and drove up to their curb side urgent care. I was extremely disappointed because I waited 40 minutes in the parking lot and called them 3 times to ask for help but it went to voicemail every time. Finally, I went inside because I didn't know what else to do and they told me to go back to my care and they'd help me shortly. Five mins later a woman came to give me a strep test, but it was at night in the pitch black and she didn't have a flash light or anything. I do not believe she administered the test properly and didn't even touch the back of my throat. I was extremely disappointed because I spent an hour of my time there for a test that took 1 minute and it wasn't even done properly. What a waste. No respect for time of patients. I understand things get busy with Covid but Covid testing was over for the Day and there was no one else at the curb side. read more

I arrived around 7pm and checked it. The receptionist was nice and she did greet me when I walked into the door. I filled out my paper work and explained what was wrong. I probably sat down for a good 15 minutes and was called back; I'm shocked because I always expect long wait times @ urgent care centers. The nurse was helpful and asked several probing questions; he also took my daughter's temperature for fun and she actually had a slight fever (good to know). The nurse practitioner came in and I loved her. She was kind, attentive, she listened and asked me what my main issues were. She prescribed me the best medicine and sent me on my way. I am very reluctant to write a bad review for anyone but I feel I really need to share my experience. I went to Emcura on 15 mile in November 2021 because I had a bad headache for about 5 days. When I arrived the PA that saw me asked about my symptoms and I told her that perhaps I had a sinus infection. I had no drainage etc but she looked up my nose, didn't take my blood pressure or do anything else and gave me a script for antibiotics. The next day I decided to take my own blood pressure and it was around 193/100 and I decided to go the emergency room at Beaumont. Long story short they kept me for 3 days and tested for possible strokes etc. The emergency room docs all told me the same thing...next time see a real doctor. And I will, but to add insult to injury I recently got the bill for the office visit at Emcura and they had billed an old dental plan I had about 4 years ago. Everything turned out okay, but I was less than impressed with the level of care I got at Emcura for my situation. read more

Instead of being ushered in and ushered out of the office like most places, Dr. Kesliker took the time to check out all the symptoms related to my back injury and have a detailed explanation on how to treat/recover from there. Absolute, hands down THE best urgent care clinic in town. Dr Supak and Dr Kesliker were amazing and both so very good at what they do. They don't count their time with you like other doctors and treat you from the root of the matter. The office is like none other doctors office you've been to before. Every time we have been in too see you (with 3 young kids and this past brutal winter it's been often) we have walked out feeling very well looked after. Our 2 year old has been in 3 times with ear infections and responds incredibly well to your calm and peaceful energy. He actually sits still and lets you examine him!
