That being said, Dr. Nick Stepanski is a very intelligent, kind like his father, "green", young provider learning to fill big shoes. I've been a patient of theirs for 30 years. Times have changed, communication is through a portal, which I love because the staff is really good at responding quickly. I absolutely love the staff. They are always pleasant over the phone, stopping in for a nurse visit, and through the portal.

I was having an IV every day for 16 days straight, and they were there for me during the holidays. I just cannot say enough good things about the care I received from him and his staff. They become like family to you. I have always been a hard one to get a good vein to take blood or to start an IV, but their nurses got me every time with no more than one poke, and I would never even feel it. That is saying a lot for me. Any time I have ever gone to the hospital it is at least 3 pokes and I then say you are done. Get someone who knows what they are doing. His office his like your home. Even when you are having an IV, you can watch TV and be served with juices and healthy snacks. It is so much better than a hospital any day ! This is a really great doctor's office. My personal doctor is Doctor Shepherd and he was…read morerecommended to me years ago I'm my best friend. A friend of hers who had been going here for a long time recommended her. We have both recommended him to several people who now also go here, so when you recruit people to your doctor's office it's for very good reason. To me the best thing about this office is there are four doctors. If you absolutely need to get in for something and your doctor isn't in they can probably get you in with the other doctors. Now that might really depend on what your situation is but it usually works. They do have Saturday hours, however there's usually only one doctor working on the weekend. If you need to have blood work done, you can just come into the main office and sign in. You don't need an appointment. Usually within 15 minutes they can get that done because you don't need to see a doctor. That's pretty awesome, especially if you need to come back in for a recheck. The nurses are really good and sometimes lab results can take a minute- but when they call you back they will thoroughly go over everything with you and are more than willing to answer any questions. I've also had several times where they've just called to follow up with me because the doctor told them to or they wanted to make sure that a referral that they might have given for specialist went okay. There are two offices in this building. When you come in there's a little placard on the outside of the door that tells you the doctors in that day, their hours, and whether they are in the main building or the other one that is to the right. The main building office is larger, and the secondary office is quite a bit smaller. They both do have TVs though and magazines if you need them. A lot of the patient rooms are little bit outdated in style, but that doesn't affect the service that you get from the doctors and the nurses so don't let that throw you. Just because somebody hasn't redecorated doesn't mean you're not going to do a good job. Choosing a new doctor or something that you shouldn't take lightly. And recommendations can come and go, but or somebody who has which doctors a lot because they didn't get the service or the treatment that they thought they should, I hope my recommendation will reach you as meaningful. Dr. Shepherd has always treated me as a person first wanting to know what I'd do I'm making you feel comfortable and anything you might ask and then thoroughly talking to you about your symptoms and whatever is going on and making sure that you get the best care. If they are accepting new patients and you are looking for a doctor it will be worth you checking out the office to see if they are right fit for you.

Now my prescription is overdue and they've refused to fill it for the last 3 days because my doctor is on vacation. The employees have also been consistently unhelpful and rude. A family friend recommended Dr. Bartholomew to my sister and mother, and they both enjoyed (as much as can be expected) their visits, so I decided to try him as well. He was so nice and he took the time to explain each procedure to me. He cares a lot about his patients, and if you're new, he'll talk to you in his office before the exam for like 40 minutes to answer any questions you might have. I ended up switching to a different ob/gyn practice in the area at 32 weeks pregnant because I knew that if I went into labor on my own and dr. Sarvis was on call I would without a doubt have a c-section. Both dr. Sarvis and dr. Bart both have different personalities and handle things differently. When you're dealing with someone who is 7 months pregnant and hormonal you have to suggest things with tact and grace. I feel that dr. Sarvis did neither. She was extremely persistent that i schedule a c section even when I was reluctant and asked to "think it over" and schedule it at my 34 week appointment. I feel that dr. Bart would have been more understanding and compassionate to my request.

Then three months later I felt pain in my chest, and my heart rate was high suddenly. I went to see him again, he said it's nothing, just your muscles and he prescribed muscle relaxer! I took the pills for another week and got worse. Called him, he said maybe your heart then, do the blood test. I did the blood test immediately and then although the test result was normal, he called me and asked me to go to the emergency room on Saturday night at 10 PM! We went to ER, were there until next morning and did lots of tests, and everything was normal (they told me we don't know why he sent you to ER at all but if you like you can ask him to write a CT scan to be sure everything is ok!) I called him to send me a CT scan order he told me I should schedule another appointment and see him again to give me the test order!! I scheduled another appointment and went to see him, and he said ok if you want to do the CT scan here is the order (he could do that without asking me to go and pay for another visit). I told him BTW I had thyroid problems before (he knew that from my files), do you think we should test it too? He said, hm it's not from thyroid but why not, let's test that too! I checked my thyroid, and it was super high!!! Finally, it turned out that it was my thyroid, not my heart or muscles !! I ended up paying 3000$ for ER and 400$ for the office visits !!! I WILL NOT recommend him for anything more than an annual checkup...

Instead you get a recording and you go on hold...Sometimes for 20 minutes plus. Just to get a phone answered. I think it's terrible that an established practice can't even answer a phone!!
