Great doctor. He was even featured in HOUR magazine for Top Docs. As for the office... waits are a little long, but I understand. They have great doctors. The office always has a few people in the waiting room. Very Clean office. Nice staff. As for the procedures i have had related to Troy Gastro- No complaints except 1. 1. - The prep for a colonoscopy is to drink a full bottle of Miralax Laxative to flush your system. That stuff is going flush you out like you just woofed down 100 greased lightning sliders from White Castle. It is not enjoyable experience for anyone. By the end of the night you are so thankful it is over. You will never want to see a bottle of Miralax again! BUTT WAIT...... the first thing you see at the Troy Surgical Center is a empty bottle of Miralax with silk flowers in it greeting you on the check in counter. Thats the very last thing you want to see the morning of your procedure! I think they realized this because it has since been removed. It was a creative thought, I will give them that. Granted that may not have been Troy Gastro's fault per say... butt they work hand and hand with the Troy Gastro. Other than that small bump in the road I'm a grateful and happy patient over all =)

I took two days off work for my procedures- one day for colonoscopy prep and another for the…read morecolonoscopy and endoscopy themselves. I paid $150 for their transportation service and also paid out of pocket for all of my prep supplies. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that the office had given me the wrong colonoscopy prep instructions, which meant my colonoscopy had to be canceled and rescheduled. Since I was already there, in a gown with an iv, they proceeded with the endoscopy. After that. I didn't hear from the office for an entire week. Thev finally called to reschedule the colonoscopy. I returned the call and left a message asking to discuss reimbursement for the transportation and prep expenses I would now have to pay again because of their mistake. No one ever called me back. What's especially frustrating is that the office called and messaged me repeatedly before my procedure to make sure I confirmed my appointment. But when it came time to take responsibility for their error and address my concerns, they went completely silent. It's now been over a month since my procedure. I still have zero biopsy results and nobody will return any of my calls regarding anything. I had to stop taking the medication prescribed to me because the side effects were bad. I called the office to find out what to do about the medication. Never heard back from them. I continue to get sicker with zero answers. I'm hiring a lawyer tomorrow. I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

We were there for diarrhea- he needed to do a full breast and genital exam for no reason at all except to satisfy his curiosity. Treated my child like an object or an animal. Snapped his fingers at them and told them to "listen to me and look at me while I'm talking to you" after he had just told them about their "nice curves". He tried to push an anesthetic procedure and when I pushed back he started fighting with me and belittling me. It's been 3 weeks since I dropped off the stool sample and I've called 3 times to get results. Nothing.

Although the office was a little disorganized due to recent relocation, the nurse was so sweet and was very gentle and kind with our tiny baby. When we met with the doctor, he had this calming, reassuring and kind aura about him. He listened to our concerns, examined our baby, told us his thoughts, and finally asked if we had questions which he thoroughly answered. He was very thorough and took the time to explain everything so that we would completely understand everything he was saying. I arrived there in tears and left feeling completely at ease, confident, and happy about what was going on with my son.

This would have been acceptable if the doctor I was scheduled with was a good, caring doctor. Instead, Dr. Abadir was extremely dismissive. From the moment he entered the room, he gave off the impression that the appointment was just an inconvenience to him. He in no way tried to connect with me as a patient. It felt like I was merely a paycheck and he was trying to complete the appointment as soon as he possibly could. After waiting nearly 6 weeks, he was in and out of the room in about 5 minutes. I requested some specific testing which he denied. He also provided no information as to what he was prescribing me until I asked. He seemed irritated by my questions and was literally walking out of the room as I was asking questions. I have decided to seek care elsewhere. Do not recommend.

I was given sighs of annoyance of for calling in for my test results so often even though you as the patient are required to call in when you assume the results should be in by. (Versus just having the office call you to notify you of your results which most offices do.) when they give you an estimate of 1-4 weeks for how long the results can take it seems weird to be getting annoyed responses from staff. I was told results were ready over the phone when they were not and then belittled in the background by a staff member being told "I just needed to deal with it" which they were unaware that I could hear. I know they might not have meant much by it but it can be very demotivating and disappointing to hear those things as a patient who is just looking for answers and has been in lots of pain for a long period of time. The time that appointments are at is very general at this office. Both times I had to wait 45 minutes past my appointment start time to even get in a room after being told to be there 30 minutes early. If you are someone who is busy this can really mess with your schedule as most people have strict work hours. Overall, I was just very disappointed and wished my experience had been better. I am not a person to complain as you can probably tell by my very little amount of reviews I give. Had I experienced maybe only half of the negative things I had, I wouldn't have even bothered reviewing.

AVOID My experience with her is very negative. In my office…read morevisits with her, she was strangely confrontational, smug and was not listening well. I have a history of Gastrointestinal issues with records (which I provided for her). I had a procedure done with her and have had no follow-up from her. I've left messages and was told the doctor is "too busy" with procedures all day to call patients who have questions. The office staff could not answer these questions and I was told only the doctor could...so if she won't call patients and the staff can't help you...I guess you find a new doctor. I recommend avoiding her unless you want to be treated like just a number.
