This Henry Ford Medical Center offers many health services, procedures and testing based on providers and appointments available. The environment was comforting and welcoming when I saw the receptionist to check in. After waiting 5 minutes in lobby I was then escorted to Imaging Department and known as Ex-Ray. I've attached Photos of the Imaging areas and how my appointment went about which was at 4pm. The technician Jeff was kind and explained the steps and time frame for the many ex-rays that my doctor requested. He was knowledgeable too when it came to positioning my hands and fingers correctly on the glass for the proper Ex-rays. No paper referral was needed since she sent the forms by email to this department at my convenience too. This facility is clean and offers masks after entering the automatic doors for germ protection of for those who have not been vaccinated for COVID. Request an appointment with any of the providers listed on the sign upon entering. A Patient can reserve a spot in line as well for Walk-In Lab Services. Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Thursday and Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Closed Saturday and Sunday Address 14500 Hall Rd. I was there at 7:30 for a…read more7:40 appointment. the office buildiby didn't even open untiil 8:00 5 couples (10) people waited in their cars and outside in the parking lot as well as the doorway to even enter the building. the doctor was so behind and rushed he pushed my procedure through in a half hour and didn't even complete the task. Said I needed to reschedule. I starved for 24 hours and took all sorts of laxatives enemas and did everything as directed verbatim. I missed a day of work and had to pay someone to drive me all for nothing. I'm extremely upset with these people, I have a life too. On the recording it kept offering the option to leave a message for a scheduler to call you back, I left my information, and a week and a half later I finally received a call to schedule my appointment. (The scheduler was very kind; the only real positive of this experience.) The soonest they could get me in was 3 weeks from then. So in all, I waited nearly 6 weeks to get in. This would have been acceptable if the doctor I was scheduled with was a good, caring doctor. Instead, Dr. Abadir was extremely dismissive. From the moment he entered the room, he gave off the impression that the appointment was just an inconvenience to him. He in no way tried to connect with me as a patient. It felt like I was merely a paycheck and he was trying to complete the appointment as soon as he possibly could. After waiting nearly 6 weeks, he was in and out of the room in about 5 minutes. I requested some specific testing which he denied. He also provided no information as to what he was prescribing me until I asked. He seemed irritated by my questions and was literally walking out of the room as I was asking questions. I have decided to seek care elsewhere. Do not recommend.

As for the procedures i have had related to Troy Gastro- No complaints except 1. 1. - The prep for a colonoscopy is to drink a full bottle of Miralax Laxative to flush your system. That stuff is going flush you out like you just woofed down 100 greased lightning sliders from White Castle. It is not enjoyable experience for anyone. By the end of the night you are so thankful it is over. You will never want to see a bottle of Miralax again! BUTT WAIT...... the first thing you see at the Troy Surgical Center is a empty bottle of Miralax with silk flowers in it greeting you on the check in counter. Thats the very last thing you want to see the morning of your procedure! I think they realized this because it has since been removed. It was a creative thought, I will give them that. Granted that may not have been Troy Gastro's fault per say... butt they work hand and hand with the Troy Gastro. Other than that small bump in the road I'm a grateful and happy patient over all =)

I paid $150 for their transportation service and also paid out of pocket for all of my prep supplies. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that the office had given me the wrong colonoscopy prep instructions, which meant my colonoscopy had to be canceled and rescheduled. Since I was already there, in a gown with an iv, they proceeded with the endoscopy. After that. I didn't hear from the office for an entire week. Thev finally called to reschedule the colonoscopy. I returned the call and left a message asking to discuss reimbursement for the transportation and prep expenses I would now have to pay again because of their mistake. No one ever called me back. What's especially frustrating is that the office called and messaged me repeatedly before my procedure to make sure I confirmed my appointment. But when it came time to take responsibility for their error and address my concerns, they went completely silent. It's now been over a month since my procedure. I still have zero biopsy results and nobody will return any of my calls regarding anything. I had to stop taking the medication prescribed to me because the side effects were bad. I called the office to find out what to do about the medication. Never heard back from them. I continue to get sicker with zero answers. I'm hiring a lawyer tomorrow. I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

When I asked a few of the Providence ER folks who they would recommend for colonoscopies, Dr. Polidori was high on the list (and another is one of his associates!). His office staff couldn't have been nicer in our interactions for appointments and preregistration for 3 colonoscopies he has performed for me.
