When wasps started getting into our home, I freaked out. We have a newborn, and Yellowjackets are so aggressive so having them inside was just not an option. Maple Lane came out the same day we called and took care of where the suspected nest was, and assured us that if they were still around after a week they'd come back to apply more of the powder to get rid of the wasps. Unfortunately they were still getting in, but the technicians came out 2 more times and really made sure that the problem was taken care of without an additional charge. The technicians were both very nice and informative, and we've had no further issues since. I contacted Maple Lane Pest Control because I found about 200 dead Yellowjacket bees on the floor in the corner of my basement. The woman that answered asked me how they are getting into the house, and I told her that I had no idea, that's why I was calling them. She told me I needed to locate where they were getting in before they would send someone out. I told her that they were all in one corner of the basement so the entry point and nest had to be somewhere in that area. She again told me that I would need to identify a specific entry point and locate and identify the Yellowjacket "activity" before they would come out. I find it quite bizarre that a pest control company would require the homeowner to identify and diagnose a pest problem that they were calling a pest control company for help to begin with. That's like calling a furnace company when your furnace stops working and them requiring you to identify and diagnose why it won't work before they come out. I ultimately called a different company who was shocked when I told them this story, and they responded same day -- identifying and addressing the issue, and all is well again. I can not recommend Maple Lane Pest Control when they require the customer to do the work that we called them for help with in the first place. read more

Got bugs and especially spiders? Give Maple Lane Pest Control a call. They'll vanish! We moved into a new home that wasn't upkept as much as we would have liked (keeping up with the foliage outside and preventing critters in the basement). We both have never paid for pest control at our previous homes, so we felt that we could deal with what we had. After a few minutes it got to be a little overwhelming where we'd kill one to three spiders a day. Incredibly frustrating! We gave Maple Lane a call and Michael came over to spray inside and outside. Of course, due to our luck, it was raining heavily throughout the day. As Michael arrived, he gave us some very helpful options. To use the basic spray in the home to prevent some insects from roaming around our home, but could not spray outside due to the rain. He also, told us we could rescheduled for the following week and get some stronger stuff sprayed inside and outside. We definitely took that option and waiting another week. No big deal! We suffered enough, what was one more week? When Michael returned, he was again, very friendly and began his spraying process. He was very thorough outside and then when he came inside, he did much of the same. Sadly we were busy the week before and we didn't get to move too many of our items away from the walls. However, he was careful and was able to spray behind things within reason. He was super careful not to randomly spray the walls, furniture, or shelves. After he left, we immediately saw a difference. It was a "killer" of a night and into the following day. The spiders were upset and were performing their last "hoorah" but scurrying away from the spray the best they could. We still have a few stragglers, as he said the spray wouldn't totally eliminate them. However, we've seen a huge decrease (only 1 kill every week or so). If you have pests! Call Maple Lane! I had initially planned to have Maple Lane take care of my problem, but while I was waiting for my appointment I did a bit of research and started working on a solution myself. I called to let them know and they said it would be ok to cancel, but if I'd like they can still send someone out for a reasonable consulting fee. I took them up on their offer. The meeting went great. I was commended on my efforts so far and was given an amazing education on what to do next, why, and how to manage things long term. They gave me a straightforward quote over the phone, came on time as scheduled a few days later, inspected my garage for rats, told me I did not have an infestation, explained my problem and advised me on what I should do.
