Our daughter went there for 3 years from 3-6 years old and we took her out after we realized she wasn't learning anything and was always coming home in horrible moods and never wanting to go back... We just started her at a public school for first grade and her teacher called today to let us know she is VERY far behind... how is it that you can spend a fortune for a private school, send your child there for three whole years, only to find out she literally didn't even fully learn the BASICS for first grade. I have to update my review. BCKB was great in the beginning, but after spending more time in the…read morecenter, several issues began to arise. The center has posted my child on their social media page without permission, and accidentally fed him a formula bottle when he was explicitly breastfed. Communicated to parents' things that were a licensing requirement that were not, such as a requirement to serve juice to children, which they said they would not serve him juice, only if I supplied a doctor's note. Additionally, management has been found on multiple occasions to treat teachers disrespectfully and even to yell at them in front of parents. If your child is walking, they will have the child sleep on a blanket on the floor, which, from my understanding, is a licensing issue and a health hazard. When I brought my concerns to management, they grew increasingly frustrated and annoyed. The director is very spiteful, and when I attempted to drop off my child after a visit to the ENT, she refused drop off without a doctor's note. Please note that, to my knowledge, at that time, they did not have a policy requiring a doctor's note unless a child was ill, and they did not inform me of this when I messaged about him arriving late the previous day. After she informed me I couldn't drop off, I asked if I could send the note once I got in my car. She refused, saying she would not let me drop off without seeing it. I expressed my need to return to work and was very frustrated. I was made to wait in the lobby until I could provide the note. She continued escalating the interaction by saying, "Maybe he shouldn't be at the school," and by repeating herself and speaking to me as if I were stupid. Once I had provided the note in Brightwheel, I dropped my son off and left quickly for work. The director chased me out of the school, screaming for me to show her the note stating she had to "Ensure I wasn't abandoning my child." She informed me they were kicking my child out of their center within 2 weeks. They are unprofessional, and I was heartbroken that after trusting them with my child for a year, they chose to treat my child and me this way. My advice now is to stay away from BCKB.

Although there are two daycares quite close to our house, they either didn't have good reviews or had poor state ratings. We became interested in the Krum CDO because they had strong state ratings, and after touring and talking with the director Laury, we decided to try it. Laury was a great initial contact person and she understood how we were feeling and answered all of our many questions. The Krum CDO has a been a wonderful place for our baby. Sadly, we're moving, and won't be able to continue attending, but I wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their amazing care. If we weren't moving, we'd never leave this place. We got to know the staff in both the infant and toddler rooms, and the teachers are unfailingly attentive, patient, helpful, instructive, fun and, above all, loving and kind. Knowing that our son is happy to be there and gets not only to interact with other kids but also with experienced and knowledgeable teachers has made this transition so much easier. We feel totally confident in and deeply grateful for the care he's received. They've helped us troubleshoot health questions and taught him things like blowing kisses and waving bye. The staff is always willing to chat about any issues and are always so careful with the little guys and gals attending. When we arrive at the CDO, our baby begins wiggling in his carseat and looking around to see who's there. It's hard to leave him but it's also great knowing that he's so content and well cared for. She learned to wait her turn, the value of her peers, manners, and was potty trained. At the age of 3 she transitioned into the primary classroom. While the expectation was high, my child did not transition well. Rather than meet the child where they are and modify the program, they tried to modify my child. As a result she retaliated to the point that she was no longer "allowed" to participate with her peers for meals, or even playground time. It wasn't until we left CMS and I had her evaluated by educators far more experienced and qualified than the staff at CMS that I was reassured that she was just behaving poorly due to being in a stressful environment. My word of caution to other parents out there is that CMS is not a school of inclusion but rather exclusion. Maria Montessori would have never allowed for such a hostile "learning environment" or exclusive parameters from her "guide." I would definitely seek out other alternatives before enrolling at this school simply because of this experience.

Melissa and Kristen are like family and helped us out so much. They took excellent care of my kiddos and the younger one went into Kindergarten well ahead of many of his peers.
