As a certified teacher with a degree in Education and experience working with the ages of infants…read moreto 21 years of age, the educational experience of my children is my utmost priority. My husband and I thoroughly looked into the early education options available in Denton, and we knew we wanted something different that a daycare. The methods of Montessori education are exactly what we believe to have allowed our children to flourish so well in their young ages. These methods are not what one will see in the typical preschool. There is a priority placed on independence and self-sufficiency. Children are allowed to improve in many skills and abilities. It goes above and beyond letters and numbers and sitting in a classroom quietly, but allows a safe environment for children to grow in their daily skills, gain confidence, sustain a natural love of learning, and develop a sincere belonging in community. Countryside Montessori School has always made this possible for our children, and we keep great peace of mind in knowing our children are safely cared for as they explore. Communication is frequent. There is transparency and connectivity for parents. They prioritize each student and the students as a whole. They truly are an extension of our family experience as opposed to something completely separate. It is incredible to see my children suddenly be able to take off their diapers and actually throw them away starting at 1.5 years of age. It is overwhelming to see my son accomplish tasks like cleaning his room, putting away his toys, helping with laundry, because he spills with pride in himself. My 1.5 year old daughter cleans up spills she makes and demonstrates sincere kindness to others. There is also little better than feigning ignorance and allowing my son to proudly show me where his locker is and how to put away his possessions on his own. When I drop off and pick up my son, I am able to witness him put away his possessions, go to a task that suits his interests, but also educates and challenges him. He doesn't need an adult to hold his hand through this process, though many are also readily available should he need help. My son can hold meaningful conversations with adults in ways I have yet to see from most children older than him in my time as a teacher. This school is different from other schools, and I love this about Countryside. This is the purpose of Montessori education. It is the reason my husband and I picked this school. This ownership and pride is the most invaluable thing Countryside Montessori offers to my children. Mrs. Fuess and the faculty here are always positively involved with the kids. I have personally witness a patience and attention with these children that I am amazed at knowing how challenging it can be to work with kids(as a parent I want to study their Jedi ways!). This school may not be what every parents wants. But for those looking for something that can support their children in these ways, they are an incredible resource and school. I know they have great ideas and possibilities for the future of the school as well which I look forward to!

My daughter has been going there since she was just 3 months old and I'm so happy with how they care for her. Everyone seems happy to see her each morning and she smiles the minute she sees her teachers. The school is clean, well-organized, safe, and they plan so many fun activities for the children.

There is literally so many positive things I can say about this establishment. So where to begin…read more First of all I am a first time mom so making the decision of where to put my infant when I had to go back to work was a huge deal. We went to many different places to see what they had to offer. Had multiple tours, talked to so many people over the phone. However when we first visited the Montessori Universe I knew this is where I wanted my child to go. From the very first phone call to the very first interaction everyone was so kind, prompt and professional. We did the original tour with Kayli the director of the school and she was so kind and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions (I had a million) with ease and didn't seem to mind the over load of questions either. Do to my husbands work schedule we had to do the tour a little later on a Friday and they had no problem accommodating us. Which was so nice because I know most places like to close down early on Fridays (don't blame them). The infant class has two full time teachers, Brittany and Tabitha, they are both absolutely amazing. My child seems to be very happy with them and comfortable. Everyday when I pick my child up they tell me all about his day in detail and always answer all my questions to the best of their ability. Also one thing that i love about Montessori is they have an app that is used to log all the information for the day for your child, every diaper change, nap, feeding, it really is wonderful because it makes you feel like you are a part of your child's day even while being at work. They also send pictures throughout the day which is my personal favorite. The owner Christin is so nice, and she is there everyday which I think speaks volumes about her She greets every parent with a smile when they arrive/leave and is always so kind. I would highly highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for a place to put your child that will actually care for and take care of them.

My oldest has been attending MKU since he was a little over 1, and he is displaying enough knowledge and skills to skip kindergarten at 5.5 years. My 1 year old comes home and tries to sweep and clean up spills himself. I can tell that the curriculum taught is helping my little ones grow as individuals. They do their best to mitigate and prevent the spread of illnesses as best as possible in a daycare with lots of young children. Their Compass app is a bit spotty and I wish they would either improve it or move to the Procare app only. However, overall, I highly recommend MKU Weatherford for the safety, learning, and affordability!

Every now and again we will have a difficult morning, but for the most part (with the help of this wonderful staff) she has learned to transition into the day easier. We are so thankful for this place & always rave about it to anyone who asks about daycare.

She learned to wait her turn, the value of her peers, manners, and was potty trained. At the age of 3 she transitioned into the primary classroom. While the expectation was high, my child did not transition well. Rather than meet the child where they are and modify the program, they tried to modify my child. As a result she retaliated to the point that she was no longer "allowed" to participate with her peers for meals, or even playground time. It wasn't until we left CMS and I had her evaluated by educators far more experienced and qualified than the staff at CMS that I was reassured that she was just behaving poorly due to being in a stressful environment. My word of caution to other parents out there is that CMS is not a school of inclusion but rather exclusion. Maria Montessori would have never allowed for such a hostile "learning environment" or exclusive parameters from her "guide." I would definitely seek out other alternatives before enrolling at this school simply because of this experience.
