AMAZING school. I CANNOT say enough positive things about this school. The owners are involved and…read moreon site. Their background is in education allowing them to be more in tune with developing children, understanding of behavior trends based on age, and engage/make suggestions with parents on questions or concerns. Turnover can be a MAJOR issue at childcare facilities but has not been an issue here. There is diversity among the staff and their attitude suggests that they genuinely want to be there with the kids. Their precautions during Covid were quickly implemented and have been maintained. If anything, they have increased precaution measures in an effort to be as protective of the children and staff as possible. They have also provided suggestions to support at home learning for families that choose to stay home. The activity level is age appropriate and keeps my lil guy engaged and learning. I get a daily report about his day including diaper changes and type of change, how much he ate of snacks and lunch we send, nap times, and learning themes for the week to support the learning at home. I also get pictures of my baby throughout the day/week which show a happy and engaged child. This allows that extra level of reassurance that it's not lip service about his day. As a mom, finding the right provider for childcare can be the hardest and most guilt ridden decision. Goddard Northlake has been understanding of my guilt/anxiety and been so kind and supportive as my role as a mom. I am as comfortable with the care provided by Goddard Northlake as I am having family care for him. May this location have much success and opportunity to provide AMAZING care for many decades.

I have to update my review. BCKB was great in the beginning, but after spending more time in the…read morecenter, several issues began to arise. The center has posted my child on their social media page without permission, and accidentally fed him a formula bottle when he was explicitly breastfed. Communicated to parents' things that were a licensing requirement that were not, such as a requirement to serve juice to children, which they said they would not serve him juice, only if I supplied a doctor's note. Additionally, management has been found on multiple occasions to treat teachers disrespectfully and even to yell at them in front of parents. If your child is walking, they will have the child sleep on a blanket on the floor, which, from my understanding, is a licensing issue and a health hazard. When I brought my concerns to management, they grew increasingly frustrated and annoyed. The director is very spiteful, and when I attempted to drop off my child after a visit to the ENT, she refused drop off without a doctor's note. Please note that, to my knowledge, at that time, they did not have a policy requiring a doctor's note unless a child was ill, and they did not inform me of this when I messaged about him arriving late the previous day. After she informed me I couldn't drop off, I asked if I could send the note once I got in my car. She refused, saying she would not let me drop off without seeing it. I expressed my need to return to work and was very frustrated. I was made to wait in the lobby until I could provide the note. She continued escalating the interaction by saying, "Maybe he shouldn't be at the school," and by repeating herself and speaking to me as if I were stupid. Once I had provided the note in Brightwheel, I dropped my son off and left quickly for work. The director chased me out of the school, screaming for me to show her the note stating she had to "Ensure I wasn't abandoning my child." She informed me they were kicking my child out of their center within 2 weeks. They are unprofessional, and I was heartbroken that after trusting them with my child for a year, they chose to treat my child and me this way. My advice now is to stay away from BCKB.

It's not a daycare,…read moreit's a place your child will learn to be independent and confident in themself as an individual. We started at 11.5 months (tried nanny and a couple other schools before) and after 2 months she is walking into the school on her own, uses utensils, loves to listen to books being read to her, participates in class activists, and is a lot better at handling her emotions. This was the only school that was willing to accommodate my early potty training, and continue to work with her on it!The teacher to student ratios are better than i have ever seen and they ACTUALLY stick to them. (I never understood how a 5:1 ratio for infants is possible. 0-17 month group is 3:1 here) Every time I go to drop her off, I feel great about having my daughter attend the school. Teachers are so patient and loving!! I love all of them. The head of the school Brandy is amazing at communicating and makes everything easy. I drive 1.5 hours some days to get to work so I can keep her in this school.

My son was enrolled in Guidepost Flower Mound's Spanish Immersion program for 18 months, and we rarely went more than a month without a major change or staff turnover. We stayed as long as we did because the Guides caring for our son were excellent, but they have all since left the school. Over time, it became apparent that there were significant issues behind the scenes. The atmosphere among staff often felt tense, and the administration was not transparent with families about changes affecting the school. Important decisions were typically communicated only after they had already been made. We ultimately decided to withdraw when the school announced the closure of the Spanish Immersion program. The announcement was sent to parents on a Friday evening and gave just two weeks' notice that children would be separated into existing classes. It offered only vague suggestions about future Spanish language instruction. There was no attempt to consult with parents beforehand, despite administrators stating the program had been under review for months. Attempts to seek clarification afterward were met with vague responses rather than clear answers. The final disappointment has been the handling of our deposit. In March, both the Head of School and administrators at TNC Schools confirmed in writing that our deposit would be returned. Several months later, we are still waiting. There has been no communication since March and no explanation for the delay. It is difficult to understand why a commitment made clearly and explicitly in writing has not been honored. Having toured many Montessori schools in the area, my impression is that Guidepost is priced as a premium option for local families. While every family must decide for themselves whether that cost is justified, our experience of constant staff turnover, program instability, poor communication, lack of transparency, and the school's failure to follow through on its written commitment to return our deposit did not reflect the level of professionalism and stability we expected. For those reasons, I cannot recommend the school to other families.
