The staff, from the principal to the teachers to the lunch staff, are all amazing. They put the children's best interests ahead of everything else. The PTSA is very active and sponsor many fun events for the entire family. The curriculum is very sufficient and the GT program allows students to excel. My daughter only has 15 kids in her class so the attention she receives is far better than many other schools (even in our district). Upgraded to 5 stars. Almost all of the wonderful, loving teachers left, not one person (including the district manager) could actually explain the curriculum and the teachers were way overworked. My boys absolutely love it there, and so do we. The director Shamara takes extra special care to make your children feel comfortable and taken care of. He is smart, and did well on tests, but couldn't understand the importance of daily work and putting in the effort on a regular basis, so he would fail the class until the last minute, when he would turn in late work enough to get his grade to a 69.5 and pass by the skin of his teeth. FWC doesn't allow late work (at all) and it shocked him at first, but he began doing his work regularly. In October of his senior year, I got an email about the honor roll, and wondered why I received it...until I saw his name there in black and white! He also received Academic All-State honors for Track & Field in the spring of his senior year, and he is now going to play football for Hendrix College, which is a D3 high-academics institution in Arkansas. FWC helped him immensely to improve academically.
