Alyx has become my favorite stylist by far and the only stylists I make appointments with 4 weeks in advance. I even take my 10 year old son here. She's busy as heck (deservedly so) but for guys in the area, it's well worth it to get on her schedule. For those of us with some challenges like thinning crowns and cowlicks, Alyx shapes and styles like no one else. Also Staghouse is well run, very clean, and very well stocked with the products they curate. Highly recommend.

They were right there ready and waiting when we were, they were so accommodating and understanding of everything we wanted, from natural looking to full on glam. Through all the tears and there were alot , none of our makeup ran. PERFECT right til the end. Thank you both for being amazing at what you do. if ever needed for anything. I will definitely book again.

I give a slight edge to Damien in the skills department but you really can't go wrong with either. The location is large, very clean, and because it's in a strip mall, parking is a breeze. I'm not sure how things worked prior to COVID but they're currently only taking reservations (no walk-ins) and do not have a website. You can book online if you go through a link on their Instagram page though. My criticism is that i've experienced a number of places in NYC that for $20-25 you get the same quality haircut but also a hot towel and are offered a beer or shot while you wait. They have neither and were charging $30 when I got my first two cuts there. Their prices are now up to $40. There's a ton of independent barbers around Bergen county (and NYC) with excellent reviews that are still charging $25 for a great haircut. I typically get my haircut every 4-6 weeks so I can't justify a $40 haircut, especially at an average no-thrills barbershop.

I've been an Iconic regular for a couple of years now, along with my two boys, and the service…read moreremains spectacular. Time to update my review and add more perspective. Casey does our hair every 6 weeks or so and his styling and aesthetics remain top shelf. Never had a bad experience here. Never. His shop has expanded and now includes 5 full time chairs and sports a cool retro look that says gentleman's barbering at its finest, without any frills or pretentiousness. No craft brewed IPA and avocado toast here folks, for which I am grateful. That said, this is an hip establishment that delivers upscale style for men of all ages and sensibilities. Casey continues to earn my respect with his courteous, "regular guy" approach to barbering and conversation. He is wise beyond his years and a great conversationalist -- even for old farts like me. Reminds me of my millennial sons -- in a really good way. Iconic is a socially responsible business and regularly hosts fundraisers for good causes and is internet savvy. Making digital appointments and tracking your barber's schedule is easy online -- and I appreciate the appointment reminders via email and text. Very professional. Top Tip: Make appointments well in advance to avoid last minute shut outs. I always book our next when I'm done and get an email reminder in minutes. Makes scheduling painless. Also, this is a cash only establishment, which is reflected in the reasonable pricing, so plan accordingly. If needed, there is an ATM on site. Note to Owner: Thanks Casey for keeping all our grooming "fresh" and congrats on all your success and good news, both personal and in business. You've earned it and deserve it.

I was traveling 45-60 mins into Hoboken to get taken care of by a great barber, but that became hard when my wife and I had our second child. I also want to throw a lot of praise at Bruno and Mehmeti. Bruno is one of the very best fade specialists in the business. He's my weekly go to. Mehmeti is the guy you want when scissors and longer hair come into play. Between the three of them, these guys provide unreal service for the price you pay.
