Although I had missed the much anticipated Grand Opening, I saw the parking lot was completely full that day & into the night. I love the warehouse style high ceilings that this Kroger has with a Starbucks inside as well as an area with tables and chairs to enjoy your coffee or a bite to eat from the deli! Guess that is what makes it a Marketplace and stand out from the other Krogers. The design makes the place seem larger than it actually is. I enjoyed the spaciousness, especially in the produce section making it easy to maneuver with a cart. It is welcoming as you first walk inside. The kid-sized carts are cute, but they have only a few available. My little one was disappointed as they were all in use during our visit. No fun car-themed carts either. I grabbed lunch to go with my groceries. Quick stop on the way home after church, but the aroma of just finished chicken only increased my hunger. My little one kept asking for a piece saying how good the fried chicken smelled all the way to the checkout line! Haha. Next time, I'm ordering the savory baked chicken! Every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful. I walked down most aisles, but only grabbed one hand-carry basket full of groceries. Many options of grocery items, pharmaceuticals, home goods, including a good selection of wines, flower bouquets / arrangements and some articles of clothing. However for all those other ice fanatics out there, this is better than Chik-til-A AND Sonic, so you really need to check it out. Next is their coffee area. No more trying to figure out how many of those small individual creamers, they carry the large creamers so you pick and pour until you think it's enough-easy peasy! No more squirt/pump bottles where it takes an hour to get the appropriate amount of creamer. Cups are large as well so no more of those stupid small black so-called coffee cups. This store managed to completely sway my gas station loyalty from Speedway...and that's saying something. Very very well done RaceTrac!

I got it with regular milk, but alternatives were only .30. I believe this is to be an extremely good value! To get the order and I went to restrooms. The restrooms were not filthy, but did need some attention. We weren't sure where to pick up orders and my daughter stated she walked up to counter under a sign that said pick up orders here. She asked and the worker stated in a rude tone that mobile orders are down there and just pointed in that direction. The mobile order pick up is all the way to the end of the counter at the corner where the restrooms are located. We got our orders and were disappointed there is no where to sit and eat anywhere on the property. Which is odd seeing how much areas they have out front and both sides of the building. They could have some iron tables with bench's that are permanently affixed to the ground. SOMETHING so those stopping for lunch can eat it. Once we made it to our next location we just ate in the car. Now is where it went badly for myself. My sub was a classic Italian. I added salt, pepper and oregano. Well there was so much salt and pepper on it that it was inedible from the salt content. I've never experienced that much placed on a sub before. Just a warning that maybe if you like a little salt & pepper on your subs then grab some packets and do it your self. Threw the sandwich away and just had chips for lunch. My daughter did like the burger flavor, she did say out loud "were they angry when they made this?" Because how it was assembled. It was a hot mess. She had to reassemble the burger. It looks like this stretch of Joelton is starting to get built up a bit, which is good, as it's a lot more convenient to stop here than it is to drive to Goodlettsville or White's Creek. Stop in and you'll be surprised what you might find.
