This is a review for the Manzano Mesa Pickleball courts, which is part of the park. We started playing pickle ball on these courts two years ago when they only had 16 courts. About a year ago, the city invested in the courts and doubled its size to 32 courts. When they expanded the courts, they also put in several restrooms. However, they have a hard time finding someone that is willing to lock the restrooms up by 7 everyday. As of today, the restrooms are only available until 4. So, plan accordingly if you plan to play after 4 pm. Less than half of the courts have lights to play on when the sun goes down. Courts are harder to come by in the winter months due to that. The courts are a first come, first serve basis. They ask that you limit your play time to an hour and half if others are waiting. Many people bring their speakers and play their tunes while they play. They even set aside several challenge courts, so people can place their paddles on the rack and work their way into a match. There are several non-challenge courts, which we usually use because our whole crew shows up to play. We've even played with people who have come from out of state, and they wanted to get some pickle ball time in. The courts are available until 10 pm. It's a great time of free fun. read more
