If I could rate Manvel Auto Center 0 stars I would. One week ago we took our truck into the shop to have an exhaust header system replaced. Pricing was quoted ahead of time ,with a 1 day turn around promised. My truck was there for 3 full business days. I had to call in for updates, every single day. The first day a tool they needed had to be ordered, the second day the compressor went down, the third day it took ALL day to figure out how to remove the part and replace. Finally I was able to pick it up. The truck had a check engine light immediately after I left, I turned right back around to show them. They apparently forgot to plug one of my sensors back in. The next couple of days my light kept coming on throwing and EVAP code. I ended up figuring out my purge value had been kinked by their mechanic. Once I corrected the problem the light disappeared. **I shouldn't of had to figure anything out. Their competence seemed to be an issue by this point though. Today at 4:30 I went to work on my brakes. The shop only HAND TIGHTENED my lug nuts. My wheel could of fallen off at any moment!! At 80mph on the highway, this kind of "mistake" could kill someone!! I'm visibly shaken, this is a huge error. I called to shop to let them know of the error, only to be met with hostility and deflection. This place is great! Fast, efficient, kind - it's a small town feel when you go in! I came in to get an inspection to complete my registration and had my 2 year old with me and they were the friendliest car shop I have ever been to. They not only did a thorough and quick job with my inspection (was in and out in 15 mins), but the staff (and even fellow customer) was sweet to my daughter and got to know me! David sold us a car and claimed it was in excellent condition. 6 months later we have had $3000 worth of repairs, due to multiple oil leaks and a bad transmission. He is either a crook or a bad mechanic. We will never buy another vehicle from him and we took our repairs elsewhere. The best advice I can give is to stay away from him. read more

I should have read the first review before I went in there. They did such a shady job. I went in to get a weird noise fixed and when I get it back the A/C isn't working I feel they didn't take responsibility for what they did and they bill was huge. They're the experts and you expect them to have some knowledge on what they're doing but it appears they are new to the business. Won't come back here. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. They're competence is truly lacking. Two times we've been there the turnaround time has been longer than what they've initially told us as well as the pricing. One week turned into three weeks. A five hundred estimate into 1,300. They're the experts they're supposed to have the knowledge and skills but when they ordered the wrong part two times and then decided that we should order the part it proves they are unaware of what they are doing. Furthermore, they planned on charging us for labor when the truck came back in the same condition. Don't go here you'll regret it. read more
