It has been four years since my first review and I must give the public an update…read more Purchased a used car that had a spongy brake pedal. David and Fernando suggested bleeding the lines in case there was air in the brakes. Inexpensive, conservative suggestion. It did not help. Now the costs go up. Suggestion, replace the master cylinder. Low and behold, this fixed the problem immediately. Now begins the sad story. The master cylinder went bad after a few weeks. David and Mr. DeLeon replaced it for no charge. Fast forward a few more weeks; the second master cylinder goes bad. So you're in the card game and you have to make a decision, do you fold or go all in? I went all in with DeLeon. They replaced the second faulty master cylinder with a Honda brand name and they paid all of the costs. I will never, ever go anywhere else for automotive service. The brakes worked perfectly ever since. Don't you love a story with a happy ending!!

I recently had a frustrating experience with Deleon Mechanic Shop regarding my Audi A6. I took it…read morein to have the transmission fluid cooler control valve replaced. Initially, they were prompt in calling me to say the car was fixed, so I picked it up two days later. However, shortly after, I noticed the car was leaking fluid. I called them immediately, and they asked me to bring it back in. After doing so, I was assured they would address the issue. Unfortunately, the car continued to leak fluid even after their second attempt to fix it. I was forced to return the car to them once more. This time, they kept my car for two months, during which I never received a clear or consistent explanation for the delay. Each time I called or visited, I was given a different reason for why the repair was taking so long. It was incredibly frustrating to be without my car for such an extended period without any satisfactory communication from them. Eventually, they told me they couldn't fix the problem, but their explanations were vague and unconvincing. This lack of clarity and professionalism was disappointing. Due to this experience, I am giving Deleon Mechanic Shop a one-star rating. I will not be taking my car there again and would caution others to consider my experience before choosing this shop.

The noise changed with RPM, and there were no check engine lights or stored codes. Since I didn't have time to diagnose it myself, I decided to try this shop based on their good Yelp reviews. I went in on Saturday, April 4th. The staff was friendly and greeted me right away. I explained the issue clearly and also mentioned that I had just done an oil change and brought the oil filter with me so they could inspect it for any signs of internal engine damage. Later that day, I received a call saying the noise was coming from the valve train. They asked for approval to remove the driver-side valve cover on Monday for further inspection, and I agreed. On Tuesday, I was told they heard a small noise from cylinder 2 and diagnosed it as a rod bearing issue. I specifically asked about the condition of the oil, and they said it looked fine and that I could continue driving it. When I picked up my truck, I was charged $240 total ($120 for a diagnostic scan and $120 to remove the valve cover). What concerned me was that my oil filter was still untouched in the bag. I went back inside to ask how they checked for metal in the oil without inspecting the filter. They then offered to check it after I brought it up. Once I got home, I decided to do a quick basic check myself. I removed the belts and ran the engine, the noise completely disappeared. That led me to the actual issue: a bad vacuum pump. I replaced it myself, and the noise is now completely gone. Overall, the staff was polite, but the diagnosis I received was incorrect and led me to believe I had a serious internal engine issue when it turned out to be something much simpler. It's frustrating to pay a diagnostic fee that cost more than the actual repair, especially when a basic check could have identified the problem much quicker
