I've been getting my hair cut at Envy Hair Lab by Angie for the last 6 mos or so. Had an appt on a…read moreFriday recently. Got a text stating she tried to call me but went to VM. Strange thing was that I had no missed calls from her. She chose to text me and said she had an emergent situation and would have to cancel me less than an hour before my scheduled appointment. Ok that's fine. Kids get ill. You have to patent and care for your child. I surmised that she was going to beat feet out of there to tend to her ill child. Understanding the presenting situation, I immediately thought to go down and have one of her coworkers set me up for a new appointment because no one generally answers the phone over there anyhow. To my surprise Angie was still in the salon!!! She rescheduled me for the following Tues. (4 days later). Her computer app sent me a legit text stating I was on for Nov 12 @1:30. On Monday I got a voicemail from her stating she once again was going to cancel me for the appt her computer app accepted and she told me she in the VM that she had"looked at her calendar wrong and had someone in that spot." When I investigated the app she uses and waited for a return call from them they told me you cant make an appointment in a spot where there already is a standing appointment. So she booted me out of the second appointment voluntarily to give my spot to someone else who obviously demanded her allegiance more than mine and prophylactically put me in for Nov 22. So after canceling and inconveniencing me twice she could not find a place for me for two weeks!!! So unprofessional. I would have considered canceling the "other client" once and me once rather than boot me twice. I paid this girl a crisp $50 bill for a quick barber cut priced at $32 each and every time I patronized her. Not going back!!!Think before you book here too.

I had a funny haircut someone talked me into getting before a wedding last fall, which made my ponytail look super awkward. Bree fixed it right up, and it's nice and natural-looking again. Yay! The salon is welcoming and relaxing, everyone is genuinely nice, and a 100% locally-owned business. Also, Bree gave free cuts to government workers during the last shutdown. That's a big deal for our coasties! Major kudos.

My luck of the draw was Brittany. Having my hair trimmed and styled is therapy for me. And Brittany fit my niche. She is a talented stylist who loves what she does. And it showed. I have been going this saloon for just about a year. I found someone ( finally) who did my hair…read moreperfect every time. The thing that got me, is Monica was ALWAYS 15-20 min late and the cut and foils (just around my face) was 180$ every 8 weeks. I would think that would be a customer a business would want to keep. Not to mention the product and accessories I would buy while forced to wait. The LAST time I went for my 11am appt, she was cutting someone else's hair and did not get to me until 11:37. There was no longer time for the full appt. I just got a cut ( with no apology) for the complete disregard of my time. she proceeded to offer to come in on her day off to finish her job. When I pd her with a tip ( she did not deserve) she wrote down the next appt and said "you're welcome". I'm bummed cuz I have to find a new salon, but I'm NOT 1200.00 a year to be treated like my time is not important. I had been telling everybody about her and we live in a small community. Word gets out fast.

I went feral during Covid and started cutting my own hair during that time, and continued after…read morethat. Until now. This week I saw a style that I really liked, and knew I didn't have the skills to pull it off. I snapped a screenshot, searched online for a stylist, and immediately liked Kyle's reviews. I stopped by to show him what I wanted, and made an appointment for two days later. When I arrived, Kyle listened to me, asked a few questions to be sure we were on the same page, and he went to work. My hair was short, and I wanted something even shorter. He was able to pull it off with great results. Driving home, I felt pretty darn spiffy and couldn't wait for others to see it. Having an attentive stylist and getting a cut that looks good really made a difference. Not everyone can pull off super short hair, but Kyle created a cut that I feel flatters, and that boosts my confidence. Guess it's time to retire my old set of clippers.
