Strange thing was that I had no missed calls from her. She chose to text me and said she had an emergent situation and would have to cancel me less than an hour before my scheduled appointment. Ok that's fine. Kids get ill. You have to patent and care for your child. I surmised that she was going to beat feet out of there to tend to her ill child. Understanding the presenting situation, I immediately thought to go down and have one of her coworkers set me up for a new appointment because no one generally answers the phone over there anyhow. To my surprise Angie was still in the salon!!! She rescheduled me for the following Tues. (4 days later). Her computer app sent me a legit text stating I was on for Nov 12 @1:30. On Monday I got a voicemail from her stating she once again was going to cancel me for the appt her computer app accepted and she told me she in the VM that she had"looked at her calendar wrong and had someone in that spot." When I investigated the app she uses and waited for a return call from them they told me you cant make an appointment in a spot where there already is a standing appointment. So she booted me out of the second appointment voluntarily to give my spot to someone else who obviously demanded her allegiance more than mine and prophylactically put me in for Nov 22. So after canceling and inconveniencing me twice she could not find a place for me for two weeks!!! So unprofessional. I would have considered canceling the "other client" once and me once rather than boot me twice. I paid this girl a crisp $50 bill for a quick barber cut priced at $32 each and every time I patronized her. Not going back!!!Think before you book here too.

This week I saw a style that I really liked, and knew I didn't have the skills to pull it off. I snapped a screenshot, searched online for a stylist, and immediately liked Kyle's reviews. I stopped by to show him what I wanted, and made an appointment for two days later. When I arrived, Kyle listened to me, asked a few questions to be sure we were on the same page, and he went to work. My hair was short, and I wanted something even shorter. He was able to pull it off with great results. Driving home, I felt pretty darn spiffy and couldn't wait for others to see it. Having an attentive stylist and getting a cut that looks good really made a difference. Not everyone can pull off super short hair, but Kyle created a cut that I feel flatters, and that boosts my confidence. Guess it's time to retire my old set of clippers.

Ive been searching for a good perm & layered haircut in P.A. for the past 6 months. The VERY few…read more(like 2) salons that could perm were either on vacation or booked out for more than 2 months. I am way too impatient & spontaneous to schedule out that far (especially for a complete stranger). I ended up so hopeless and frustrated that I actually gave up and just decided to "YouTube it" (easy right? lol ) I watched videos galore & ordered all of the supplies (Desperate, I know). While in this Peabody plaza for work stuff, I noticed Patti's sign. It was tucked way in a corner that I have never seen before, but passed a million times. I thought there was no way they would be able to take a walk in at 1pm on a Friday. I was leaving out of state the next day, looking haggard, so I crossed my fingers and walked in. Lo and behold, there was Patti with a smile, warm and welcoming. She had a young stylist Zoe who could perm and cut. She was busy, but could squeeze me in, in a couple of hours. Hallelujah!! I came back, got my hair washed, ends trimmed & hair permed (was there until closing) We chatted, laughed, and really bonded. I instantly felt like family and even took Polaroids while I was there with the new camera I got for my trip. My hair came out great! I am so grateful for Patti and Zoe. They were so kind, patient and listened to my needs. Zoe was a real Rockstar! I decided to get the layered cut when I got back from my trip. 2 weeks later I returned to pick up my favorite Paul Mitchell products that Patti special ordered for me, and she was able to squeeze my layered cut in with Mel. I was so excited to finally finish my 'do! Mel was so cool. Sweet, quick and funny. I felt like I found another sister! Anyway, the people there were so exceptional, that I had to create a Yelp account just to share my experience and show them some love. It is no wonder why I never seen advertisements for Patti's on Peabody. They have been busy there for the last 35 years with loyal and devoted customers. No need for websites or flyers, word of mouth is worth more than anything. Especially if you have photo evidence. Thank you again Patti, Zoe & Mel! You are now stuck with another loyal die hard Fan!! My luck of the draw was Brittany. Having my hair trimmed and styled is therapy for me. And Brittany fit my niche. She is a talented stylist who loves what she does. And it showed. I talked myself into a stutter when I realized her finishing touch. The cut was beautiful! She even took time to add a bit of texture per my request. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. I showed a reference photo of soft "milk tea"…read morehighlights with a blended, natural look. Unfortunately, the result looked nothing like what I asked for. The highlights were very brassy, uneven, and harsh instead of soft and blended like the photo I showed. To make matters worse, the stylist rushed the appointment because she had to leave early that day, which I was never informed about beforehand. Because of this, I was sent out of the salon with wet hair, so I couldn't even see the final result properly before leaving. When my hair dried, it looked so bad that I had to go back the next day just to turn it back to dark hair because the highlights were so poorly done. On top of that, I had to pay extra to fix it, which was really frustrating considering the original service was already not done correctly. Overall, this experience felt rushed, unprofessional, and very disappointing. When you show a clear reference photo and trust a stylist with your hair, you expect a result at least somewhat similar to what you asked for. Instead, I ended up paying more money just to correct the damage. I would not recommend based on my experience. Oh ya, one thing i forgot to mention is she stopped drying my hair because it was "too wet" and taking "too" long to dry, so she started straightening my hair while it was still wet. Crazy experience. That lady was lazy& doesnt care about her job.
