Genuinely the worst experience you could ever imagine from a rental company! Their office was in…read morethe same building as my apartment and it was astonishing how things are run when you see it up close. You want to call them during their OPEN hours? Not a chance. You're lucky if someone's in the office either! If there is, it comes with children running around SCREAMING and drawing on walls. The office is a complete mess, and no one ever knows what's going on. They are beyond distracted, a conversation in that office is extremely overstimulating. We tried to move into a different place with them on 3 different occasions, all of which we heard nothing back, or the place was leaking water and absolutely disgusting. When moving out, you are required to schedule a time for the inspection. I showed up, no one knew anything, and we basically did a fake walk though that meant nothing for my deposit. A week later, I came back to drop off my keys and ask about my deposit, once again, no one knew a thing. They even said that! Wrote my number down, and never got back to me until I called threatening with an attorney 2 weeks later. Before we moved in, we came up all the way from Boise to tour this specific place. We showed up 30 minutes early and no one ever showed up! We drove all the way home with nothing accomplished. That was the beginning of our struggles with Equity Real Estate. Once we FINALLY got ahold of them and set things straight, we were able to sign the lease and get our move-in date. When we arrived, we had never seen the inside because no one showed up for our tour, so we had no idea how dirty the apartment was. There was sugar and a porno shot glass in the cabinet, the microwave and stove were completely filthy, the fridge smelled, I had to do an entire cleaning prior to moving in. Not to mention, how dirty the actual building and hallway are leading up to the apartments. When it comes to the place itself, things are cheap. The cabinets are loose, the bathtub moves and leaks, the floor creaks horribly, the door handles BARELY work, etc. Overall, I saw more children in Equity's office than agent, non of which know what's going on. I highly recommend NOT renting through this company. They are the most distracted, rude, uncaring people in Pocatello.
ALSO- the price of these apartments is RIDICULOUS for how tiny and cheap they are. We are now paying the same amount for 3x the size, and a company that actually cares about us.
