My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of working with David to buy our first home. As newcomers…read moreto the SLC area and newbies in the real estate market, we found that David went above and beyond to make the entire home-buying process educational, smooth and easy. David's deep knowledge of the SLC market, consistent availability to answer our questions (even the simplest ones), and genuine attention to our needs makes him exceptional. His expertise, eye for detail, and dedication to his profession shone through at every step of the journey. David set up listing alerts for our broad search area and took us to see over 30 homes. He educated us on all the things we should expect from a house in our price range. This included the quality of cabinetry, appliances, flooring/ carpet, tile arrangement, the type of grout used and so on. He didn't shy away from pointing out deficiencies in a house that were not apparent to me or my wife. He has a teacher's mindset and really prepared us to identify the house that would be perfect for us such that we could quickly put in an offer when such a house was listed. He gave us contacts for different lenders and contractors, and this proved extremely helpful. Ultimately, we put in an offer on our dream house the same day it was listed and had our offer accepted within 24 hours. Furthermore, he worked with our lender and the sellers agent to arrange closing within 2 weeks of the offer date. The whole process couldn't have gone any better and David had a huge part to play in it. I'll be referring all future SLC home buyers to David--we cannot recommend him highly enough!

At one point they did good work but ever since they hired their manager Dara Evans it has become a…read morenightmare. Their photographers often show up early or late with no notice. They refuse to ring the doorbell or even call you, so if you don't happen to be staring at the phone when they arrive to see a text, they will quickly leave and charge you a $40 no show fee that you never agreed to. It'll just show up one day on your credit card. If you explain they didn't show up on time Dara won't care. When they do show up, they will refuse to touch anything in the house, which includes turning a light switch on. Even if you provide a helper to move things for them, they will leave trash in the frame of the photos and not mention it to the helper, so you'll find a pile of trash in a random bedroom photo. To fix this they will want you to pay more. Some of their photos are from angles that actually shrink the rooms, which is something we have never encountered in over a decade in this industry as a real estate agent, attorney, and property owner. Dara is especially condescending and not the brightest, and will fail to understand most problems and will tell me my security cameras are somehow lying and that her photographer rang the doorbell anyways. You will get surprise fees charged to your account without your consent, and Dara will refuse to fix it and force you to contest these charges. They will make promises that they can fit a timeframe and then never fullfill it repeatedly. Their assigned photographer will say he's busy being a wedding DJ and can't make it for a number of days. They'll reassign you promising somebody else will do it before your stated deadline. That new person then either won't be able to or will not even be assigned before the deadline passes, forcing you to speak to the not so wonderful Dara again, who will do nothing about it and condescendingly blame you for it. Some of their photographers hate working for them so much they will try to get you to hire them outside of OBEO. They are HORRIFYINGLY INCOMPETENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

Unfortunately, after a series of unplanned life events and crisis', I had no choice but to attempt a short sale on my condo from out of state. I chose Darci to represent me as my realtor, because of her integrity and endless positive traits. As a previous co-worker/friend, she has demonstrated to me that she lives her life to succeed. She lives by the philosophy that life is better when we choose to make the best of every situation, no matter the circumstances. From the moment I entered the contract of working with Coldwell Bankers, and more specifically with Darci Cutler, I was rewarded with prompt phone calls to discuss expectations, processes, impending paperwork, and deadlines. (I am embarrassed to admit this, but...) In all honesty, I was a nightmare client to represent. In the moments that I would get so overwhelmed with my personal situation (giving up on the process, paperwork, buyers, etc...), there was Darci, kindly reminding me that she was there (along with Coldwell Bankers) to support and help me through the process. Patience is a virtue rarely seen in realtors; however, with her that was my entire experience. At moments when I would get discouraged after an offer fell through, was rejected, and/or something went wrong, there was Darci with her positive demeanor. She would talk me into believing there was something better out there that was in the works. She would will a positive outcome to materialize, and it would.
