My friend Chris I, from PSAS, told me about Fernando, the owner of Canine Ace. Fernando is the real deal. Positive reinforcement, a couple of other dogs that match LBs play energy, and momma dog that let's her know what the boundaries are, has made a vast improvement in LBs behavior. She comes home tired and responds well to positive correction. If you are looking for daycare, training, or socialization, "Canine Ace" and Fernando truly care about your pups. I found Tabitha shortly after adopting my dog Kestrel, about a year & a half ago. I'd never had my…read moreown dog, so even though I *thought* I was prepared, I needed all the help I could get. When Kestrel was a puppy, Tabitha helped prepare me for the basics- everything from potty training to socialization & general obedience. Having someone help guide me through the process made the "puppy stage" so much more manageable than I had anticipated it would be! As Kestrel grew out of puppyhood, she developed some poor social skills around other dogs- resource guarding me & showing signs of reactivity around other dogs. This caused a spike in my anxiety & was a major challenge for me, but Tabitha refused to give up on us. She gave me all the tools I needed to overcome my anxiety & teach Kestrel better manners around new dogs (we're not completely over that obstacle yet, but we are seeing major improvements). When I went out of town for two weeks over the summer, I trusted Tabitha to take care of my best friend knowing that she would get the same level of care & attention she gets at home, with the added bonus of social play time! I continue to take courses with Tabitha & the Coachella Valley Dog Club because I love my dog so so much & I want to continue giving her the tools she needs to thrive. We recently started scentwork training, & look forward to eventually taking agility courses as well! Kestrel has a small handful of people who she loves with an intensity that she can't contain & Tabitha is one of those people. We count on Coachella Valley Dog Club for obedience, socialization, specialty training, boarding, & even guidance with diet & supplements. Bringing home a dog of my own had been a dream of mine for years, & having Kestrel has been even better than I imagined, but I couldn't have done it without Tabitha's help!

We made an appointment by phone and the staff was friendly and helpful. The cut was excellent, as was the nail trim (not too short!) She was a bit overgrown as her last groomer broke her arm. I contacted Veronica about the groom looking messy and overgrown after 2 weeks and requested the cut shorter. She shared my concern with her groomer making me look bad. Then she contacted me today about canceling my next appointment next week because she had another client who wanted that time slot. I confirmed I wanted the groom and asked again for a shorter "puppy" cut. She called me and declined service claiming it's not healthy for the dogs coat or skin and refused to cut any shorter. I explained I've been grooming my dogs for 18+ years and I know what is good for my dog. I didn't appreciate being schooled or scolded by this rude, condescending person. She then Canceled my appointment despite my advising I would leave a review about my experience on YELP. Also please note that the mobile grooming van is shabby, old and decrepit. I noticed many negative reviews about Veronica. She is NOT LICENSED and not kind at all. Very disrespectful, nasty girl. AVOID THIS GROOMER AT ALL COSTS!!!

We wanted to book immediately but were asked to contact his "Assistant". Time for her to be fired and if she's your spouse, she should look elsewhere! The phone always goes to a voicemail asking for a message to be left, a return call number, or a text. I tried to reach them in a number of ways from July 31 to September 04, with not so much as remotely the courtesy of a call or text back. This is no way to run a business. My recommendation to potential clients would be to keep looking elsewhere. The lack of response, in my mind, is the same as a big "we're not remotely interested". I have the same response back to you Ms "Assistant" - I hope you don't have any bills to pay, because the days your business can be open is apparently limited!
