I received a cold call from Ivan, just out of the blue, regarding my resume he found. Mind you, after not having a full time job for almost a year and having dealt with other agencies that got me nowhere, I was very apprehensive to try another long drawn out process. This was not the case. Ivan explained the position as best he could and as detailed as he could (keeping the company name confidential is very professional, kudos for that) and relayed what the expected pay would be. We spent the next 10-15 minutes conversing about my job history and what I really was looking for in a new job. He absolutely listened! He took notes of my skills, job preferences and expected goals when working for a company. After all that, he told me what a great candidate I was and that he would try his best to get me an interview. The client interviewed two other candidates prior to myself but Ivan kept me abreast of everything that was happening, nothing was a surprise. He communicated with me as much as he could just to keep me motivated and not let me feel like this was a lost cause. After 6 weeks of waiting, being the 3rd candidate and only 1 interview... I landed the job with one of the biggest healthcare companies in the Inland Empire. The job was not what I expected, it is SO MUCH MORE.
