I can't believe I hadn't been to Mano's Bakery Cafe sooner. I am always in Clearwater. This time, I finally decided to stop by. I wanted a bougatsa which I've also never had before. It's like a phyllo wrapped dessert with custard in the middle. It's a good size, maybe like a small wrapped burrito but not fully round since it's custard inside, and it cost btw $4-5 dollars. They say it's bomb here, and it was pretty good. Pretty happy I tried it! They also have other types of meat pies, and spinach pies, and pastries, and some desserts like the typical Greek Baklava. They have an array of sandwiches here as well. I like how there's another area with Greek Groceries, those are fun and cool to see the type of selection they have. They have a few outside tables with no shade, and a good amount of tables to sit inside. I'm glad I stopped in. read more

Well once again I visited this shop to pick up a few goodies before the start of Orthodox Lent. Lagana (Greek Lenten bread) as well some halva for myself...think nougat laced with cocoa here...and feta for my dear non Orthodox Queen Bee. Odd part about that: she fasts along with me for the most part, albeit not quite as strictly. Anyway: the counter girl was friendly as is most of the staff in there. Mr Kranias himself was way in the back by the ovens chatting away in Greek to his Hellenic confrere. One thing I noticed is that as his shop has gotten bigger and busier over the several years I've gone there...I see him less and less in the front and haven't spoken with him in kind of awhile. Anyway: once Greek Easter finally comes and goes I'll likely be back for my regular nomnom noshes in the near future...stuff like kreatopita, tiropita, galaktoboureko and maybe koulouria (Greek bagels) too. It's nice to see they've started offering more grocery type items (candy and sweets, for example) as well as their usual baked goods and lunch fare. Most of it is Greek, which is fine by me...so am I, as it turned out. read more

For $13 and some change I got fries, 2 pieces of bread, a gyro sandwich, a generous supply of tzatziki sauce, and a Greek salad! Sorry, no pictures of the bread or fries, I ate them while driving. This is a much better deal than the last gyro place I visited in Seminole. 3 cheers for family owned businesses! read more

This place is a gem!! My husband and I would visit very often when we lived in Largo and now that we moved farther, we still make sure to visit at least once a month. EVERYTHING is delicious and home made. The service is fantastic and the orders are prepared very quickly. The owner, Manos, welcomes you when you walk through the door with a smile. They have lots of Greek items here! I saw bougatsa (custard filled phyllo pie), spanakopita, and a meat pie in their pastry case. I also saw koulouria (sesame bread rings) and 4 different flavors of loux soda. I haven't seen many of these things outside of Greece, so it was a treat. Their menu is pretty expansive, but my husband and I just got pastries and cappuccino -- delicious. It looked like they had soup, sandwiches, gyros, muffins, and breads too. The store is larger than it looks from the outside, and has a small market section with things like Greek pastas, sour cherry juice, ion chocolate bars, and more. There are maybe six 2-top tables in and outside if you want to eat there. This is a great unassuming place in a strip mall in Clearwater. A great find, esp if you live farther from tarpon. And I'm not sure you can find some of these items in the sponge docks anyway. read more

Everything is tasty here. If you like Greek food, you'll like coming here. Salads, gyros and lots of fresh baked goods. The spanakopita is delicious. The owner is extremely friendly and always happy to see us when we come in. Definitely recommend. Perfect for a quick lunch or to sit and relax a little. Manos has been great for a decade and still is fantastic. It's a hidden gem for hand made Greek style food. They have great pies filled with spinach, cheese or meat. I like to buy them unbaked and cook them at home. They are worth the trip alone. The cookies are so good too. Manos serves a selection of sandwiches and hot food too though it's more of a deli than a restaurant. There is plenty of seating. Mr K, as another reviewer called him is charming and ever present. We stopped here based on other reviews. It wasn't fancy, but we were greeted right away. The gentleman behind the counter made some recommendations but we Settle on a beef pie, a spinch spanokopita and a cream-filled pastry to share. Everything was exactly as expected and our choices were very good. Lunch cost us slightly under $10.00 each. This is very reasonable for the area. read more

Very cute little cafe, limited parking out front but additional space on the side of the building. I got a veggie wrap which was good, but the dressing was mostly oil and the wrap itself didn't have a lot of flavor. The cannoli was very good. Stopped by for lunch while in Tampa. Great spot! We sampled a Greek custard pastry... and then bought one for the road after we ate. I had the gyro "bowl". It had a very generous serving of gyro meat and was served over a bed of delicious rice. My wife had a Turkey, Bacon, and Avocado Wrap. It would be nice if they had iced drinks, instead of canned or bottled drinks. Overall, it was a great experience with great food. read more

I can't recall the last time I actually saw gyro meat spinning on a Shawarma Machine! After seeing that I knew I was in for a treat! Today, for lunch, I had a chicken pita, small Greek salad and Manos most popular pastry- Galaktoboureko (custard baked in filo)! Absolutely scrumptious! Drove a good distance to get here based on the 4.5 star average. Overall, food was really good. Waited a long time for food. Spanakopita may have been one of the best ever. Gyro sandwich was very good. One complaint. Tomato was supposed to be held but wasn't. Cuban sandwich was big and flavorful, although one half was lacking meat on a good portion of the roll. Wow! What a hidden gem The in house roasted pork on the Cuban sandwich is awesome. And their creamy vanilla custard wrapped in crispy phyllo is a thing of beauty. Awesome selection for lunch and breakfast And fantastic pastries especially homemade greek pastries. And what a value! Just under $15 for a fresh Cuban sandwich (do I need to mention the pork he roasts for 6 hours again;), a custard pie and a spinach pie to take home. I absolutely love their bread! It's soft and not chewy. It's not buttery, but it has the melt in your mouth feel. This bread is good by itself, for a sandwich, accompanying some meat and cheese or made into French toast. It's great and I had it two days in a row. The spanakopita is good. The crust is flaky and crunchy, but still soft. There was a great balance of cheese and spinach. The bougatsa is also delicious. We got some fresh from the oven and this definitely melts in your mouth. It's also good the next day, but if you can, get it while it's fresh! The custard is rich, but not heavy, very good. The gyro meat is well seasoned and tender. I was lucky enough to get the gyro version of cracklins - too good! Their salad and gyro sandwich are delicious and they really hit the spot when you want good, non-heavy food, quick. It's run by a very nice family and they are warm and friendly. You can tell by their customers that they are definitely a 'neighborhood' gem. read more

This place is quite impressive; lots of baked goods. Beautiful, tasty. We ordered an assortment of treats ranging from the brownie to the macaroons to the chocolate chip cookie to the strawberry shortcake. Everything we tried was fabulous. Yummmmmm! This place was great. We were given samples of their custard hand pie and it was TO DIE FOR! I got a tuna sandwich on Ciabatta Bread, it was much too bready for my personal taste, my boyfriend got the Cuban and said it was good. We tried the spinach pie as well, which was fabulous. As well as one of their giant sugared donuts. All in all I think we would be back for hand pies and to try more dessert like items. We definitely want to try their coffee some time, too. read more

We like to experiment on the weekends and try new places. We drove past this place on our quest for authentic Mexican tacos. We should have kept driving. Very friendly people. I had a Greek Gyro, and my wife had a chicken wrap-pita. (Not sure what it's called.) Both felt our meals lacked flavor. Not enough sauce was our biggest complaint. I've had teriffic gyros and horrible ones. Mine leaned towards the bad side. Odd decor of for-sale knick-knacks on the wall and a mix of office lighting and Home Depot specials, made for a strange experience. I've said it before, Gordon Ramsey would have an entire episode fixing this place. read more

OMG! This place is phenomenal! I wish I would found this place place sooner. I've passed the place numerous times but have never tried but today the Greek food cravings absolutely satisfied it. I took home some meat pies. Spanakopita. Feta pie.... Took home the Greek salad . We were able to try the Greek meatballs since The gentleman had us try it.... Oh so yummy !! I want to try their soup and so many others and did I say yummy fresh !!!! So close to hone and will definitely explore other items on their menu. This place will not disappoint you.
