We are traveling Route 66. This Motel isn't listed on the App or in the EZ-Guide. Our friends who race at the Joliet Route 66 Speedway and they have stayed here many times. It is very quiet place. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. It is old school hotel from the 1950's. The staff was very friendly too. Wish they still had a pool that would have really made our stay unique. I highly recommend the Manor Motel in Channahon, Illinois just off I-55 and sitting along side Route 66! read more

Horrible we stayed here the beginning of March it wasn't to to bad. The rooms could use a very deep cleaning. We decided to come back a second time but never again. My boyfriend pointed out a bug on the bed. Yes it was a bed bug!!! We only used one bed I turned the other bed covers down to look at the sheets,low and behold the sheets had other peoples hair on them. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! I stay here every month for work and my friends stay here to. Silver and his wife are the nicest and treat everyone like family. Very clean rooms and helpful staff . If you have an issue they refunded my money with no questions. They want everyone happy to stay there . read more

One star is too high a rating - scam - booked room on an internet deal - but when I checked in it was for an RV hook up - pictures I used to choose my room we're definitely not for an RV and clearly said "room". Three other people were scrambling to make other arrangements as well. another thing that now seems wrong is, I was asked for my passport before I could check in, I'm Canadian and have been traveling through the U.S. all my 60 years and NEVER was required to show a passport to check in, and only required a passport at land crossing since 9/11. My advice STAY CLEAR of this joint. there are likely other good choices but the Wingate by Whyndam is an excellent choice and saved my trip after the debacle with the casino. read more

This was our final stop from our long road trip. Walk inside and youll see old school decor. The gentleman who attended us was really easy going. 60$ a night. They have both indoor and outdoor rooms. Hallway inside looked really nice. I wanted an outside room even tho the gentleman offered us an inside room ( which he said were bigger). They have smoke and non smoke rooms. We got a smoke room and i couldnt even smell anything in there. Nice A/C unit, bathroom, shower and complementary soap and towels. Pets are extra. Very nice, clean establishment. In a 2011 Channahon-Minooka Patch newspaper article about the Manor Motel, the current owner is quoted as saying the place was "built like a bomb shelter," referring to the structure and the layout. It's true. You may want to duck and cover when you first get a glance at the interior upon entering the main building. Lots of browns, oranges, yellows, and ghastly flowers pepper the place, and remind you of a 70's lounge that may have been booked by Murph & the Magic-Tones of The Blues Brothers fame. But then you get to your room, and it's apparent that there has been a concerted effort to update things with a more modern look. Fresh carpet, paint, and wallpaper in our room invited us inside to stay and relax awhile. Each room has a 25" LCD tv, with a mini-fridge and even mini-er microwave. The wifi was spotty at best, but I was able to post a few social media updates for my fundraising campaign for the following day's Warrior Dash down the street, which is what brought us to the Manor in the first place. I've had reservations (ha!) about staying in non-chain hotels in the past, but I can honestly say I didn't feel grossed out by sleeping on the floor in my sleeping bag here. With a few 24-hr gas stations and a Subway and Dunkin' Donuts across the street, pre-race snacks and libations were never far away, and it is located directly off I-55, for drivers who can't fight off sleep for one more mile. Get your kicks on Rt. 6 (and Historic Route 66), and have a royally inexpensive time ($60 on a Friday night) at the Manor. read more

The room is absolutely ghastly, the front of the bathroom cupboard is pulling away and I got a nasty scratch from it, it's near impossible to find ANYWHERE that delivers food there, and to make matters worse, the bathroom door won't latch. Also, it smells like a head shop, it says there is free wifi but it's completely insecure and incredibly hard to connect to, and when we gave our dog preferred drinking from the toilet to drinking a bowl of the same water we're provided with to drink from the tap. read more

I've stayed here before and had a much better experience. Rooms were clean, but the lady working at the service desk when we checked in was really snippy and rude with us (6/4/2017). I was nothing but kind and patient. I wish I hadn't made my reservations ahead of time, I'd have stayed somewhere else. Very disappointed. read more

Many roadside motels/hotels are hit or miss and this one was a definite hit. The rooms were clean and free of all the smells that can sometimes lurk in older rooms. I'd stay here again. Bonus: the decor is amazingly retro. read more

My guy took me here for my birthday January 12 of this year suppose to had the most expensive room but the room didn't look like the expensive room he had it set up very nice but the smell in the room smelled like cigarettes so you know they don't clean well on top of that the remote control didn't work we had to keep going to the office to get remotes that still didn't work as for the smell we sprayed car freshener to eliminate it the old dvd/cd player didn't work and the water is not hot at all they gave us a late check out only for the clean up lady to snap in Spanish so we just left call the manager when she returned to the office to get 50$ off our next room which we didn't accept so to the hotel plzzz do right by your customers clean the room make sure everything is working properly and get better hot water read more

I've been here several times including this weekend and I love this place!!! Great service the quietest rooms and peaceful surroundings. I travel all over the country for work and stay in hotels for 90% of the year, and this has been my best hotel experience to date. I have lived here for the last 8 months and I can not put into words how awesome the staff and owners are, I can honestly call them all friends. While staying in the hotel I realized that I would be here for a long period of time, and given that this hotel is not made for an extended stay experience, having no kitchens, I was not sure how I was going to make it and one day I was speaking to the owner and made a simple request for a larger refrigerator if they had one available and he told me that he would see what he could do, later that evening when I arrived back to my hotel I was surprised with a brand new microwave and large apartment size fridge with a freezer. How many of you can say you've ever had a hotel go out of their way to accommodate you without charging extra??? Well these guys did for me! Eventually I decided to purchase a sports car, and not only did they allow me to keep my second vehicle here free of charge, but they also took the time to clear out their only garage space and allowed me to store my car in it throughout the winter....AWESOME! I was also stuck in town for Thanks Giving and Christmas and guess what they did, yup they invited me to have dinner with them on both occasions. Its like a small family here and they treat you as one of their own! Now besides all of the out of the norm special experiences I've already mentioned, I would like to point out a few small yet great things to be had here, for one room service comes by and cleans your room daily, I have noticed that the bed sheets and pillow cases are changed every couple of days, and all bedding, including blankets/comforters are changed biweekly This is something NO other hotel that I have been to does! The rest of the room is cleaned as well including the bathroom which also appears to get a deep cleaning twice a week. I have left money out all over the room and have not ever found as much as a penny missing and that's over the course of 8 months with several different cleaners coming through. Next I would like to explain that prior to coming here I was very skeptical of the place from viewing it online as it looked like an older hotel, but I must say they keep up with everything and the inside of the hotel looks new, so don't let the older exterior appearance ward you off as the rooms are large with ample desk and storage space, there's recliners, flat screen TV's with HDMI inputs for those of us who bring our own blue-ray players or to hookup your laptops. The Beds although not the most luxurious and comfortable beds I've ever slept in are quite nice and you will not find it hard to sleep in at all. Next I would like to mention the exceptionally reasonable pricing, with pricing this low you would think that you're probably going to be located in the "ghetto" or staying at a motel 6, and both of those statements couldn't be farther from the truth!!!! Call ahead for reservations as their prices are actually lower than what you could find online, but they hotel books up quick and stays busy, and while on the subject of the hotel staying busy, I would like to mention that I never once heard a single one of the neighbors next door which allowed me to sleep in peace!!!! another small thing to be noted before I finish I that the cheapest fuel in town is at the gas stations right across the street, the hotel is right off interstate 55 and 1 exit south of interstate 80, which puts it at the perfect location 45 minutes south of downtown and less than an hour west of Indiana and minutes away from Joliet restaurants and shopping! I must say that I'm sad to be leaving and I sure am going to miss this place!!!!!! read more
