The City of Killeen, Texas is basically a parasite on the outskirts of Ft. Hood, a large Army Base. It was my base of operations from the age of 15 -17. I am a full-fledged military brat. Killeen High School was 80+% Army Brats at the time. I was one of them. I graduated from KHS at 17 and left central Texas for good. Killeen is a centrally located small town that, when you are ready to leave, it takes a full day of driving to get out of Texas - no matter what direction you go! A good school to be FROM. Good memories! Lots of good stories to tell! I was a Fighting KANGAROO! Not many folks can say that! (Not sure many would have the guts to put it in writing!) GO ROOS! I love the time I spent there. I don't play with my children's education or well being period. But a lot of students here have a lot of touching others problems. Bullying, putting hands on other students ( unwanted uninvited touching and Sexual assault apparently isn't taken seriously either. I have called the school and asked to principal but they were busy all day all week their schedules was too full to speak to a parent of a child who is being touched by another student ! If you know what's good for your children I would avoid this school district. My child was even discriminated and humiliated due to her dyslexia during a big event it was even recorded, and nothing from the district, kids assaulted and the children that hurt them .... nothing still participating in UIL activities but they sure want to make that attendance money. I also heard from multiple co-workers that since they did not qualify for the pre-k program at Killeen isd, they decided to place their little one in Memorial Christian Academies accredited pre-k class and seen instant learning as a result. Some of my co-workers decided to keep their children at Memorial all the way through high school, while others stated they enrolled their child in KISD for whatever reason. On both cases every single child was advanced by multiple years. With smaller class room and a curriculum like A Beka your child will be so far ahead of the curve. I am so blessed and honored to have my daughter attend Memorial and and truly thankful for the faculty and staff that help shape and mold my daughter each and everyday!

I needed a 110 GT score to put in my Warrant Officer packet. My weakest point was math. I decided I should try tutoring. I found out about Mathnasium through Google searching. Thank goodness for reviews. I was nervous because I am an adult seeking tutoring. Luckily, Mr. JC was so welcoming from jump. Mr. Rodgers was great at explaining the program. Then, it was a breeze from there. I started my tutoring in January, but being in the military, Mathnasium worked with around me being in the field. A month and some change of tutoring from amazing tutors from all walks of life. I tested March 3rd and I increased my GT to 113! This place worked wonders! I absolutely recommend it!
