For a really good day out for the family in the England, organise a visit to Manor Farm Country Park.
It is an actual oldie worldie working farm where the staff dress up in Victorian costumes.
Throughout the year they have different themes ie. Pirates, Halloween, Christmas, Easter. Where some of the staff will dress up in the relevant costume and they put on treasure hunts, kids can do colouring and they get prizes etc.
If you have children they will get a marvellous opportunity to feed the animals at feeding time especially if they have been brought up in an inner city area. The chicken and ducks are all free to roam around the farmyard and the children will love playing with them.
During your visit to the farm you can also visit the old school, where you will go back in time and see the teacher's cane plus in the desks you will see dip inkwells. You will also see the blacksmith forge and when you go for a little walk behind the farm you will see the old church by the side of the lake.
Manor farm is in Bursledon, Nr Southampton, UK, just off M27 Junction 8.
