Much like the site across the street, this 'park' is being held because of the possible information that can be gathered from the site that would otherwise be lost. I've not been successful in finding much about what is the history of the site. However, there are clearly stones that are stacked on site that indicate it may have historical interest. A sign was erected on the north end of the park (which is also weathering). Boulders were placed on the east side along where cars tend to park for the nearby beach.
Because of the preservation aspect of the park, visitors are restricted from walking through the grassy areas so that the site may be preserved for those trained in examining the site for significance.
