My longtime mechanic had retired, and I wasn't sure where to go next until I discovered D&G Auto Repair on Yelp! In August 2025, I brought my car in for brake service (pads and rotors replacement). From the very beginning, I felt I was in good hands. Paulo, the manager, responded to my Yelp inquiry almost immediately. He was professional, kind, and attentive. He listened carefully to my concerns and explained everything in a clear, respectful way, something I truly appreciate. I felt a strong sense of trust that he genuinely cared about my car and my safety. When I arrived at the shop, Paulo was just as professional and kind in person. He made me feel confident in my choice to use to D&G Auto Repair. After I left my car, he followed up via text with an estimated bill before starting any work, which gave me peace of mind and control over the process. The shop itself is small but clearly run by expert technicians, and the waiting room is clean and comfortable, a nice bonus! I returned yesterday with a question about a noise I'd heard. Tony, one of the technicians, came out and personally walked around my car with me. He pointed out how clean it looked and even asked about repairs I had done elsewhere. He gave me a mini lesson on body repair which was surprisingly enlightening. He then gave me directions to the nearest Auto Parts store and Car Wash. That kind of extra care is rare and so appreciated. As a woman with limited knowledge, I wanted to be sure not to overpay, so I called a few places and East Coast Auto Repair offered to check my car out the next morning, which worked great for me. (I was right about the high quote from the dealership by almost $400.) I asked the person who greeted me at the shop if they had time to complete a thorough check of the car while they had it for my brakes and they did. When completed, their review included the work on the brakes and only the usual maintenance type things with no pressure for any additional, or possible unnecessary work. In fact, they appreciated my need to control my expenses and made suggestions on how I could get the most out of my car. The people working there were polite, knowledgeable and honest. They deserve their high ratings and I am happy to be able to have found this exceptional auto repair shop close to my new home. I highly recommend them.

One of the reasons he chose them is that they offer a 3 year/36k mile warranty on their rebuilt transmissions. Wow, right? They fixed it almost 3 years ago ( our anniversary is 9/27) and on the way back from New Jersey - our transmission gave way again - and let me tell you, we were concerned about how to handle this. Mike was amazing - he didn't balk at all (at least to us) when he had to find a place that was as close as he could get to where we were brokedn down - Cherry Hill NJ - and that would take us in and handle diagnosing and fixing whatever transmission problem it happened to be. (I will yelp about Mike's Transmission in Collingdale PA too). Mike's Transmission in PA worked well with us and with FNA and although we had to stay in NJ for a few days, we were happy to get our van back. The one thing that I have to say about Mike at FNA - he is very kind on the phone with people like me who haven't got a clue. Every step of the process was laid out in detail and The job was even done 5 days earlier than quoted! The shop was even nice enough to make some extra repairs for no charge as a military discount! The inside of the shop was sparkling sparkling and clean and the wonderful auto mechanics were friendly and always kept me up to date with the status of my vehicle! The invoicing was absolutely flawless and I was charged exactly what was quoted. In fact, I paid less than quoted, considering the extra repairs done as a military discount! The warranty is very considerate and generous, right along the lines with what the dealership itself offered. Furthermore, I paid about $2,000 less than I was quoted by the Chevrolet dealership in Putnam, Connecticut. Upon getting into my vehicle I was blown away of the performance! My Chevy Impala drives like brand new with 155,000 mi on it and a brand new transmission and I am confident I could probably drive it another 155,000 miles or more! I was in the…read morecar repair business for over 40 years and have seen and heard the good, the bad and the terrible. These people are the best! They were recommended to me by my regular car service guy when my car needed transmission work. They told me up front that they didn't rebuild Subaru CVT transmissions but they were happy to put one in that I supplied. They checked the transmission out, replaced the seals and filter, installed and tested it. I had to drive 30 miles to get to their shop and if I had to drive 100 I would do that. Can't say enough nice things about them.
