My tire blew out on the freeway as I was exiting around 7:00 p.m. After putting on my spare tire, I started calling around to find a tire shop that could replace my tire. Unfortunately, all of the major tire stores were already closed. I came across Manny's Tires, which was still open but only had a few minutes left before closing. I called to ask if they had my tire in stock, and the gentleman who answered said they did and told me to come on over--they would wait for me. Their closing time was 8:00 p.m., and I arrived just before then. Even though it was closing time, he graciously assured me that he would take care of me. He was incredibly kind, accommodating, quick, and efficient. Not only was I able to get a brand-new tire, but the price was also very reasonable compared to the larger tire chains. I was extremely grateful that he was willing to help me during an emergency late in the evening when every other tire shop was closed. Thank you, Manny's Tires! You've gained a new customer. Emergencies; especially car related can happen at the most inconvenient of times. On a Friday evening after work, discovering a flat tire can be the least likely welcome to the weekend. I quickly researched open and nearby tire shops hoping to find one open at 7pm on a Friday. I found Manny's Tires and gave them a call, I spoke with a kind gentleman named Chris who encouraged me to stop by. 6 minutes later I was at the shop and Chris had my tire off in no time. He discovered a sharp piece of metal/road shrapnel lodged in my tire causing the flat. He patched it up in the next 10 mins and I was back on the road some 35 minutes later for an affordable price that was worth the great service. I had some shaking/vibrations in the steering wheel while at highway speeds and was told to rebuild my upper control arms by another shop which I did and the shaking was still there. I saw the 5 star reviews on Yelp for Manny's Tires so brought it in last Monday and was taken care of immediately. I can't remember the gentleman's name that helped me out but he recommended balancing the front tires to see if that smoothed things out and it's now been a little over a week and the shaking is gone and back to smooth driving. My front right tire constantly needed air ever so often and this last time I knew something was wrong. I went to Manny's Tires because all the good reviews and he was so helpful and polite. He gave me options and even an honest opinion on my tire quality being great for repair rather than getting another and spending more money. Any other person would've sold me that tire and took my money! He checked all of my tires pressure and enlightened me on my tire and the recommended air pressure to prevent future problems. This is what my weekend looked like at a glance. Fun stuff, right? My son had gone to work on Saturday morning and got off work at 2pm and came out to this: two wheels had been taken off his car in work's security controlled parking lot. Luckily, where he parked there was a camera nearby where they were able to obtain the losers license plate number and told us it was a white Ford sedan (just like our car.) Since it was discovered after he got off work, he called us - mom & dad to the rescue! We got there, made a police report (which we won't have full access to until Wednesday with cc footage,) and then we had to figure out what to do next since his car was a sitting duck. Ended up going around to some of the used tire shops in the Bloomington area to try and get some used wheels and tires. First place we went to didn't have any, but recommended his buddy's shop up the street. The second tire shop we went to had something to somewhat hold us over...so hundreds of dollars later we had a couple of infinity wheels with brand new tires on his Ford car. We thought we were good to go. NOPE! After mounting the wheels on, they drove off the lot and on the way home my husband noticed the back wheel is a bit wonky and wobbling. Told our son once he got home not to drive his car for now so we could try to get that fixed. Took it to another tire shop in town, Manny's Tire - where Manny looked at it and his first thought was "WTF that looks hella weird" - word for word. He took off the wheel - the hub wasn't allowing the wheel to mount properly and that's why it was wobbly! Thank God my son had made it home safe the day before. He had to take the freeway to get home. That's a scary thought to know that things could've gone so very bad while he was driving home at 65+ mph on a freeway. So, Manny put the spare tire on until we could get an OEM tire to put on the back. I was already looking into OEM's because I wasn't sure how long it would last with the current wheels. Found a couple at a salvage yard in good condition - only was able to get one of them off, so I have to pick up the other in a couple of days. Took the OEM back to Manny's and he set us straight.
