Manny is a great guy and runs an awesome business. He makes an effort to make the process easier and is very accommodated and ready to help. Highly recommend!! read more

Great having a safety check spot up in our neighborhood. Quick and easy service. Very pleased.

Manny is a straight shooter. If he has time he'll take care of you, and if he doesn't have time he lets you know. Folks can appreciate that! Simple. No BS read more

Going to Manny's Auto repair in Kapahi is the only place I, among many others, take our vehicle's. From safety checks to major repairs he can fix it all! He tells you, and shows you, exactly what's wrong (not like other mechanics). His pricing is very fair and he makes time when you have an emergency situation with your vehicle. read more

Went to get my safety check done and Manny scolded me for having my registration sticker in the wrong place. I had just purchased my car that year and the sticker was placed on the license plate prior to me purchasing it. Manny is no nonsense, yet extremely helpful at the same time. I took my lumps for not knowing any better and 100% will keep going back every year. Can't beat the level of service he provides. And if he scolds you for something... you probably deserve it and should try to learn from it. read more

Kind and helpful! They took care of me when I needed help. I'll be coming back for sure.

Great place to get a safety check. Especially if you live in Kapahi. I was second in line and total time was under 30 minutes. Just go there with a good attitude, and be respectful and patient. read more

Manny's is a great mechanic. He could figure out what's wrong with the car even when not obvious. They do get busy sometimes and it's hard to get through on the phone from time to time, but once you are there, you will get the best answers and skillful repair. read more

Great place to safety check your car. They are open until 6 pm. The inspector is an old timer who has always been a straight shooter. Be patient & wear your thick skin when you go to this place. If you don't know where your controls are you will hear about it. Also roll down your windows so you can hear the inspectors instructions. Well worth the $26.00 price. read more

This is the real deal. Manny tells you the truth even if it ain't whatcha wanna hear!!!

Went to Manny's Repair Service in Kapaa for a Safety Check. All the positive reviews were correct. Manny has had the shop for 31 years, knows what he's doing, is quick and thorough, professional and friendly. Was in and out in less then 20 min. Would highly recommend Manny for a Safety Check and will start taking my auto there, too, for mechanical issues read more

Manny knows his stuff! Quick service and fair prices. Just don't go there with an entitled attitude, he won't put up with it!

Amazing, quick, and friendly service! My brake lights were out and he quickly fixed them so I can complete a safety inspection. He even found time to talk story and show us the cars in his shop. Highly recommend this place! read more

Went in for a safety check, and there was a misunderstanding with the technician working, resulting in him turning away the work. Called in to confirm details with the owner Manny, Manny was just salty and rude. Would not recommend using them. read more

DO NOT GO TO MANNYS!!! Especially if you are a woman! He belittled me, raised his voice at me and then mocked me when I told him I did not want to be talked to in that manner. He has zero respect for his customers. I had a 10 am appointment and he didn't even show up until 10:30 am. He did not even want to listen to what I had to say about MY CAR. He just told me the way he does things. I told him I didn't want to give him my business and I got in my car to leave but couldn't because I was blocked in. As I sat in my car, he continued to mock me, and even talk about me to other customers. No one should ever be treated this way. DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR BUSINESS!!! Also, I never write yelp reviews, but felt so strongly about this I had to let others know. read more

Catalytic converter went out in my car, Manny found a way to squeeze me in, do the repair and get me back on the road quickly, despite the fact that he had numerous jobs he was in the middle of. He tells it straight and gets it done. He's like anyone that's been doing what he does for years, he doesn't put up with peoples BS but don't take it personally. Hard to reach by phone, generally picks up more in the late afternoon. read more

Apparently he charges $242 for mount and balance 3 tires. I'd advise taking your business elsewhere. No way a job like that should cost that much. read more

Manny fixed a leak in our fuel line and we had it back quick. If you want a car mechanic who really knows cars, Manny is the man.

Great service. Took my custom trailer for a safety check. Manny is very professional and friendly. Easy in, easy out.

This business employs and supports anti-semitism. I came to Manny's after being referred by a local scooter company who said they had two scooters for sale. I came to the business and test rode the "better" of the two scooters. I am extremely experienced with motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters, the scooter I was shown was a relative POS. The horn was broken, had clearly been dropped many times, despite this I was still interested. I offered 800 for what could be valued for even less. He told me he wouldn't accept less than 1100, and wouldn't be JEWED DOWN any further. As a Jew this was unacceptable, and I will never return here. I would avoid giving this anti jewish business your money read more

If you live in kapaa and need a safety check. Go see Manny's. They have friendly and quick service. And they do other car care too... check them out! read more

I made an appointment with him weeks in advanced and I left my car with him all day and he didn't even get to doing it. I had to pay for Ubers and everything just for nothing, well not nothing... He did one of the three things my car went there for. Which was a 20 min job yet he had to charge me the minimum hourly rate of $150??? Totally ripped me off. Do not go to Manny's. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST. UNPROFESSIONAL AND BELLIGERENT ! I tried this place for a simple safety check. The mechanic had extremely shaky hands and was unable to change the car's brake light. So I did it myself while there. Next, in making my payment the owner, (Manny) was unable to process my card. After several attempts he became angry and blamed me for having a bad card. I told him that the card was working fine just a few minutes prior at another establishment. I offered Manny a second card which he was also unable to get to process the charge. This card was also used the same day with no issues whatsoever. Manny became belligerent and blamed me for his lack of ability to process the card. He told me to leave and come back with cash and that he would keep my 2 cards and car registration until I returned with his money. I told him the problem was not with my cards, but probably with his machine. Finally after he re-set his machine, he was able process the payment. He continued to act as if it was my fault. Very mean and disrespectful ! I remained kind and patient, telling him it would be great if he treated his customers with respect and kindness. He and his terrible mechanic assistant became irate and began cursing. I left in order to prevent any further incident while the two of them continued to yell out cursing in anger. I told them that I would never ever come back to this business and I wanted everyone to know who and what they are dealing with in order to avoid such a terrible unprofessional business such as Manny's. FINALLY - I DISCOVERED THAT MY CREDIT CARD HAD BEEN CHARGED MULTIPLE TIMES EVEN THOUGH MANNY HAD CLAIMED THAT THE CARD WOULD NOT PROCESS ! read more

Manny is awesome. We talked story and he's an open honest guy! Our first time there and will now return to him for all our 3 cars for great care!! Thanks manny! Mucho mahalo!!! Love marty and Jenn read more

Went in late Friday, last day of the month to get a safety check (not my fault--the insurance company sent the cards only the day before). Manny and his worker were helpful and patient. They got the check done and put the new sticker on and I was on my way. I really appreciate mechanics like Manny who do safety checks thoroughly and well even though the fee is so small compared to the work they usually do--it really is a public service. read more

Manny gets one star just for being convenient. He has the worst customer service skills I have ever encountered on island. When I asked him to correct an error that he made he said no one would ever notice and if I take an attitude with him, he's going to take an attitude with me. If you want to be verbally accosted, this is the man to see. read more

The only place I will take my car for a safety check! Great service! Not to mention quick and easy! This is the place to go!

Excellent service. I show up 2 hours past closing on a Wednesday night with my daughter's Jeep in tow. Manny is still there. He welcomes us and takes our information. Before we leave he ask's us if that's our only vehicle. We say yes. He says he'll do all he can to get it back to us as soon as possible. In his lot are several other cars needing service. I'm thinking he won't get to it for maybe a week. Thursday morning shortly after he opens I'm running by his shop. I see him looking at my daughter's Jeep. I go over and he shows me immediately what's wrong. I thought the starter was bad because it wouldn't start but the battery was still good. He jumps the starter with a screwdriver indicating that the starter is fine but the ignition switch is bad. Long story short (too late now) he gets a new ignition switch and installs it Thursday afternoon. We pick up the Jeep just before closing. Unbelievable!! Great Service extremely fair price & honesty to top it off. read more

Manny's is the place to go for your annual safety inspection on the east and north shore of Kauai. Fast service and no waiting. In and out in 10 minutes. I'll never go anywhere else. read more

Been going to Manny for my auto repairs for years. He is honest, knows what he's doing, and most important (to me) very reasonable.
