I was told by two auto mechanics I trust that my 2011 GMC pickup would not pass inspection for more than another year due to frame rust. My long-time auto body shop said the necessary work was "above their pay grade". One of the best-known body shops in the Concord, NH area said they wouldn't touch structural rust and didn't now anyone who would. I was lucky to eventually find Manns. Eric gave the frame a good look, said he would remove the bed, fuel tank and exhaust system for access, then needle-scale and sand the entire frame, fabricate new frame sections as required, and apply a multi-coat rust-preventive coating - all for what I thought was a very fair price. At each phase of the job where he thought I might want to make a decision he sent pictures, explained what he thought he should do, gave a cost estimate, and gave me the choice whether to do that part of the job or skip it. The finished job was nothing short of remarkable. I have full confidence that the frame will now last as long as the power train. For the cost of a year's depreciation on a new truck, I am confident that Mann's has extended the life of this truck by several years. I had to have some real rust taken care of near the back of the front fenders and the front of the rocker panels of my 05 Subaru Impreza. I also had two new fenders I had purchased that I needed installed. When disassembling the areas necessary to do the task, they discovered significant rust and loss of integrity of the metal structure behind the front bumper. They stopped work, sent me pictures, and asked if I wanted them to take care of it. That way I could decide if I wanted the work completed, and how I wanted them to proceed. They fabricated a new section and built it back solidly, but with the same characteristics necessary for crash energy absorption, just like the original piece. They followed that up with the other original tasks. The work was great, the time required was brief, everyone I spoke to was informative and personable, and the price was reasonable. This was the second time I have gone to them for a rust repair issue that I needed done. Subarus have a reputation for the mechanical elements outlasting the bodies, especially in New England. Between buying, maintaining, and repairing automobiles, I've been "wheeling and dealing with the auto industry for over 6 decades, which means I've dealt with many car dealerships and auto repair shops. These guys are good. Brought my truck in to inspect my rusting frame and the guy immediately got under the body and started checking things out. I expected the whole frame to be bad, but he found only the back part needed replacing.....shows their integrity. Guy definitely knew what he was doing. Quoted cost was less than I expected and once I brought the truck in, they fixed it in less than a week as promised. They found another rusted part (I fully expected they would) and they fabricated a part to replace it, which did not add much to the overall bill. New frame looks great, truck runs fine, price was reasonable, they stuck to schedule, and the communications and service were excellent. I have no problem recommending them for any type of welding or fabrication work. If I ever need this type of service again, I will definitely be coming back. read more

We brought my wife's 2007 FJ Cruiser to Mann's because we'd been told by the dealer that the frame was rusting and was unsafe, and should be junked. We found out about Mann's and brought it to them; Eric found all the places where the frame was rotted and unsafe, and proceeded to cut and install replacement frame parts. They also painted the entire frame and rear axle with POR-15. The truck is now solid and sturdy again, and the price was surprisingly affordable! Absolutely would use them again, and recommend them for undercarriage work! read more

My 2010 Toyota Tacoma would not pass inspection due to the rusted frame. Eric inspected the truck and gave a quote and what would need to be done. Eric and Joe replaced the frame, rear bumper and installed a trailer hitch. Awesome job and very happy with the outcome. Much better than having to buy a new vehicle! Did a complete frame rebuild on my 2009 Toyota Tacoma and the truck frame is great. Work was done in " a reasonable length of time", any place you can't get into tomorrow is not very good, you can't rush greatness. I expect to get another 10 years out of the truck, for the frame. Toyota engines and transmissions ( Manual anyway ) last for ever. read more
