My son took his car to Steve Shannon Tire Center in Cortland, NY, to have his winter tires put on…read more They told him that right wheel lug nut was through the stud and that the drum will have to be taken apart for the stud to be replaced which most likely require the replacement of further parts. My son called me and I told him to tell them not to do anything. When my son came home I inspected the wheel and found that the outer covering on the lug nut had come off. However, there was enough of the nut there that I put a lug wrench on the nut and removed it. Then installed a new lug nut!!!!!! I don't know if this auto center has TOATALLY inexperienced and inept mechanics, or they are dishonest and trying to pad the bill with repairs that are not necessary. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! I would give thin place no stars but the system will not let me.
