Cannoli Mania! Sweet little cozy bakery/ shop in the center of town. I was passing by and figured I'd stop and surprise the wife with some cannolis, since she loves them. Wow! So many options. I wanted to get all the cakes and cookies too but figured I'd save that for next time. Staff was helpful and excellent with the run down of my options. As I ordered they prepared the cannolis. Cannoli was fresh, offered a lot of filling options (made to order so they don't get soggy) and even different shells. The milkshake was refreshing. Various ice cream flavors. I got mint chocolate chip. They had extra wide straws so the chips wouldn't get stuck. The outside was relaxing. Tables and chairs were clean and dry despite it had rained a few hours prior. I have been eyeing this place up for a few years now. I do not live locally anymore, so this past trip I took to NJ, I FINALLY tried them. I got a coffee flavored cannoli and a traditional one. The coffee flavor one was oddly satisfying. It wasn't overpowering, but it was so weird tasting it in cannoli form. The traditional one tasted just as any cannoli woild... delicious! Also, I got some homemade cookies since my son wanted them. They were also delightfully soft and delicious. The service was great. The girls' working helped answer all of my questions, and the store was quite quiet and welcoming. I would definitely return and buy more when I'm in town. I got my times mixed up, and I arrived early to pick up my order, so it wasn't ready. This wasn't a big deal except that the ladies behind the counter weren't busy. They were standing around chatting when they could have been preparing my order. Since I showed up early, I guess they felt rushed, even though I told them to take their time. Years ago I found out about the Cannoli's from Mannino's at the Lady of Mt. Saint Carmel Festival where they had a food truck. The Cannoli's were so good. Since then I've had them at numerous festivals and at their brick and mortar in Hammonton. My favorites are the cherry, pumpkin, and blueberry. Delicious cannolis that are worth driving a little bit out of your way for! About half way between Atlantic City and Philladelphia we stopped by Mannino's Cannolis at the recommendation of a friend. All the cannolis we tried were amazing - I love the fact that they have the "standards" and also interesting seasonal flavors. When we were there they had blueberry - these were great! We had 2 scoops of ice cream- Strawberry and vanilla. Both tasted out of this world delicious especially the strawberry which had bits of actual strawberries in it. We also had a giant cannoli with Italian cream and a red velvet cupcake which both tasted fresh and delicious. We also had a slice of the chocolate skyscraper cake which I found disappointing. We were driving through downtown Hammonton on a sunny Spring afternoon. Cannolis and gelato sounded awesome and we were recommended Mannino's before (just never had the time to stop). We had a warm welcome from the girls behind the counter and of course, all of the goodies in the cases. We got 2 gelatos to enjoy outside and a half dozen cannolis for the family. These cannolis are huge, filled to order and delicious! We got original, pistachio and blueberry and everyone ate them up. Even by the next day, the shell was still crunchy as if you just picked them up. I'll start off by saying one thing - I hate cannolis. I can't stand the flavor, how sweet they are, or the average texture of the cream inside. You could put any toppings in the world on them, but I'd be more willing to take licorice sticks above them nonetheless. This place, their recipe, the way that they seemingly make their comparably-silkier creams and undoubtedly-crispier shells in-house? It immediately makes me respect Italian creations that much more - It's something you'll be unable to find anywhere else in the tri-state area. Grandmama Mannino made you a cannoli, and it would be the greatest disrespect to turn that down! I still think they're the worst dessert creations Americans have ever tried to bring over... But you, Grandmama Mannino, you're the exception. On that one good note, unless the place starts slapping that filling onto brownies or in-between cookies, the occasional cannoli is the only thing I'll pop in for. The other cakes and sweets are likely run-of-the-mill ordered in and sold by the slice, and those aren't worth my time. Five stars for their subject of business, and nothing more! read more

So my family & I were at the Earth Day Festival in EHT. There were a bunch of different food vendors lined up. My kids needed a box for their leftover chicken. The vendor who sold us the chicken did not have any to go boxes. I happened to see boxes stacked up in the window of the Mannino's stand. I explained to the woman my situation & offered to purchase an empty box. She was so nice & very generously let us have one for the kids' food. Because of her kindness (and because who doesn't want a cannoli?) we decided to try some cannoli's to take home with us. I am SO glad we did! They were incredibly good!! As I've said before, I'm a big baker; and as a result, I rarely pass on dessert. I'm always looking for a classic dessert with a sweet twist. These cannolis were to die for Mannino's offers a number of unique flavors. Pictured is the birthday cake, pistachio, and cannoli. I'll be back to sample their limoncello and Nutella. The associate I spoke with was the kindest, as she took time to assist me in making (a very hard) decision. The woman who helped me explained to me that Mannino's is owned by her granddaughter who is in the midst of expanding her business to food trucks (and who doesn't want to support a local family owned business?!?!). Mannino's isn't limited to cannolis either! Their cupcake, gelato, and cakes appear equally as delicious. The decor (as I'm always paying attention to the details) offers a sophisticated but family friendly environment. The photographs on the walls capture the owner's creations. What really blew me away though was the creative fillings that are piped to order! So decadent and delicious. I went with the blueberry cannoli cream which had real blueberries- a must try in the blueberry capitol of the world. I had this stuffed inside a shell with the edges dipped in chocolate and coconut- a perfect pairing with the blueberry cream. The prices are a bit steep- we paid ~$14 for 2. Where do I even begin? The hospitality I was given here was amazing. Came in on their 3rd day of opening and ordered a gelato and a cannoli a couple weeks later and honestly, I couldn't of had better. Gabby is the owner along with her husband Al, everything they did was homemade. My only complaint is I'm hoping non-dairy items become more popular as I'm lactose intolerant. But when I do eat the blueberry filled cannoli it's all worth it. It's a little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Exquisite taste and preparation isn't cheap. I will definitely be looking forward to coming to this specific location for my deserts. Thank you again! Wanted to thank the owners for also allowing Vinyl Brewing to drop off an IPA for the adults to enjoy while snacking on some deserts at the Mannino's Express. Upon walking in, the friendly staff behind the counter says "I'm sorry we are closing early because it's supposed to downpour soon and we cleaned everything already" A woman (owner?) stood up to come and lock the door behind me. One, why not ask if there is something out of the case I'd like that doesn't require anything getting dirty? Two, why the hell are they closing early "because of a downpour"?
