Have you ever had one of those Humpy-Dumpty days where things fall apart, including your bones?…read more Well, I had one. Between the compound/open fracture and the other broken bones, my morning started off tragically wrong. Thankfully, Dr. Tam is more skilled than all the king's horses and all the king's men because he was able to put me back together again! Dr. Tam impressed me with his straight-forward "this is what I would do if it were me" approach. I like options, but he isn't afraid to tell you what the best option is. Before surgery, he put his hand on my shoulder and let told me, "You'll be alright." He assured me he would do his best. His tone and the warmth of a human touch comforted me. I was very impressed by his skill. This isn't his first rodeo and he is very familiar with the ins and outs of surgery. I'm pretty sure he gave me a Borg implant, take a look at the picture and tell me what you think! I hope I don't start saying, "Resistance is futile!" He listens, I'm mean he REALLY listens to you and addresses all concerns. He asks questions about your daily routine and considers how you may need to adjust it and how he can support that until you recover. He works with you and your life situation, (work, transportation,...). He shows you the x-rays and explains everything. He answers all your questions. He takes everything into consideration, weight, previous injuries, work circumstances, etc. I can't say enough. He also works in other locations and will treat you there to accommodate your situation. Unfortunately, I was recently hit by a car while crossing the street and am back for treatment. They set up an appointment with Ellie Nam, who I thought was a doctor and later find out she was a physician assistant. The day of the appointment she looked at me and told me she could not treat me, she said I had Milia and she could not do anything to treat it, I should see an esthetician. About 3 months later I received a statement from my insurance company with a charge of $300.00 for services that were not provided, under the name of a doctor that I did not see. Why would a doctor assistant charge for $300.00 for services that were not provided? I google Milia and different websites recommend patients to see a dermatologist!
