It gave me some relief for a couple of years. In the past 2 months I have taken Platelet-Rich Plasma shots; 2 in each knee. The results are unbelievable. I can literally jog after these treatments. I also have a torn rotator cuff and slap tears of my shoulder. Unfortunately, I have not had any success with the PRP shots for my shoulder, and will be going for surgery. I strongly recommend that if anyone experiences joint problems and wants to avoid surgery, they should consider visiting this practice. I did a lot of homework before I agreed to these shot. They have worked for Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, and Peyton Manning -all world class athletes. The shots are not covered by insurance but the relief I got to my knees are well worth the investment. I believe the front desk employee's name is Liz. During every visit, she has come across as dismissive, impatient, and unprofessional. She spoke to us with an attitude that made us feel like we were an inconvenience, and I witnessed her treating other patients in a similarly disrespectful manner. The front desk is the first impression of any medical office, and her behavior reflects very poorly on the practice. Patients who are already dealing with illness or pain deserve compassion and respect, not rudeness. Management should seriously address the customer service at the front desk before more patients choose to leave. I will not be returning to this office, and I will be recommending that friends and family seek care elsewhere.

I was seen by Dr Brian Capogna at Orthopedic Associates in 2025 for a complex medial meniscus tear…read more Given I am a mom of young children, under 40 years old, and have had no previous knee problems, a partial arthroscopic meniscectomy was recommended. Despite following every instruction, within months post-op I began to feel pain. I went back to him to ask for another MRI 5 months post-op to see if there was a reason for my discomfort. He very quickly brushed off my concerns and said that I am simply older and should accept I will have aches and pains. I did not like his demeanor or his quick response to my concerns. I decided to get a second opinion at a different practice who, after another MRI, determined there was not only another tear but that it appeared now even deeper into the meniscus. I've now had 2 meniscus surgeries from 2 different surgeons within 8 months. It was determined by the most recent surgeon that Dr Capogna left a flap of the meniscus exposed, which, no matter how much rest and PT, the meniscus could not "unfurl" or ease itself. Another surgery would need to be done. I understand we live in a highly litigious area and he could potentially see my request as me blaming him for a botched job. I was not asking for an MRI to put Dr Capogna at fault. I simply wanted an explanation for my situation. In fact, had he listened to me and agreed to help me get to the bottom of this and order an MRI, I might have even scheduled him again as the surgeon. I understand there are many factors involved when agreeing to surgery and complications are possible. What I do not understand, however, is a doctor who can dismiss their patient's pain so nonchalantly.

HUGE office . they have a staff member greet you and take your name to check you in. Once my paperwork was filled out i was taken in within 2 minutes. maybe they were not busy but i thought that was great. was seen by the Dr. Essig, very nice, reviewed the xrays i brought examined my injury and the best news is it wasn't fractured... would definitely come back here if i land wrong on a snowboard again....
