I had gone to wainwright before with no issues. So I was going to go back when I needed an eye exam…read moreand new prescriptions for glasses and contacts. I was a bit surprised that I had to schedule an appointment about 2 weeks ahead, but I did so figuring it won't be too bad to postpone it a little bit, even though admittedly I'd let postpone past the recommended due time. A few days before the appointment I got a message from them to call in and confirm, and make sure they had the right info. I'd specified when I set the appointment, that I don't have insurance and would be paying out of pocket. Not like it's a HUGE expense. We reestablished that during the phone call. Later in the day they called back and said that that location does NOT accept appointments without insurance, and they rescheduled me at another place on the other side of town. Instead of doing that, I instead decided to try to look up someplace else. They had no problem scheduling me within a few days for the same appointment date. Should have gone to them first, since I would have only needed to wait a few days at that instead of a couple of weeks. And they had no problem being paid on the spot without insurance. So now that I had a new, good appointment, I messaged back to wainwright and told them to cancel wherever they had rescheduled me, since they wouldn't take cash on the spot. They emailed me back saying that I had been misinformed about that. When I replied back what I had been told and mentioned that I still had the voicemail saved they said that yes I had been informed correctly. So I'd been misinformed while also being given correct information. They'd also had no problem taking self payment when I was there before rather than requiring insurance. So I'm not going back there again.

After at…read moreleast half a dozen calls and me calling my OBGYN in Wichita to have my records faxed over I was finally scheduled for my final shot. About half an hour before the appointment I get a call that I will need to go to the East location instead of the West. Just for me to show and be told that the shots they have are expired. So my time was completely wasted. And took time off of my new job to do so. At this point it would be worth it to me to drive two hours to Wichita then deal with this again. Absolutely ridiculous.
