They do everything possible to have the advanced equipment and treatments available, to treat unexpected eye disease and degeneration. My mother was legally blind, from Macular Degeneration and my sister died from eye cancer. I know I am being monitored and cared for, to prevent these and other issues, as well as normal eyesight care. The staff is qualified, professional and friendly. The frame options are wonderful. I was a bit surprised that I had to schedule an appointment about 2 weeks ahead, but I did so figuring it won't be too bad to postpone it a little bit, even though admittedly I'd let postpone past the recommended due time. A few days before the appointment I got a message from them to call in and confirm, and make sure they had the right info. I'd specified when I set the appointment, that I don't have insurance and would be paying out of pocket. Not like it's a HUGE expense. We reestablished that during the phone call. Later in the day they called back and said that that location does NOT accept appointments without insurance, and they rescheduled me at another place on the other side of town. Instead of doing that, I instead decided to try to look up someplace else. They had no problem scheduling me within a few days for the same appointment date. Should have gone to them first, since I would have only needed to wait a few days at that instead of a couple of weeks. And they had no problem being paid on the spot without insurance. So now that I had a new, good appointment, I messaged back to wainwright and told them to cancel wherever they had rescheduled me, since they wouldn't take cash on the spot. They emailed me back saying that I had been misinformed about that. When I replied back what I had been told and mentioned that I still had the voicemail saved they said that yes I had been informed correctly. So I'd been misinformed while also being given correct information. They'd also had no problem taking self payment when I was there before rather than requiring insurance. So I'm not going back there again.

Fortunately I was offered a same day appointment because there happened to be an empty spot - not expected service but lucky for me. The receptionists were super friendly and got my basics tests done really quickly and professionally. I then met Dr. Kristina Kennedy - she was awesome. Probably the best optometrist I have ever seen. She was very friendly, listened to my concerns, explained everything in detail, and even answered my side curiosity-driven questions regarding optometry. Dr. Kennedy was very very knowledgeable, 1000% sure know what she is doing. Her presence literally screams professionalism. She also made sure I understand that they offer and accommodate ER visits anytime when I needed, also went over ER signs to watch out for. The practice was not pushing or trying to sell me any products. They really respected my choices on shopping for glasses and contacts. This is exactly what a professional practice should be offering instead of straight up solutions - options to solutions. The pricing was reasonable as well. Therefore you have to make numerous repeated trips to correct fitting issues. And even then you need to go to a different eye doctors office only to have them fix the issue in 5 minutes. Maybe get your exam here and glasses elsewhere?
