My eye sight was getting worse so I needed to get my prescriptions checked…read more When I made the appointment, the original plan was getting me seen next Monday - which is pretty fast since I called around town everyone else had longer wait. Fortunately I was offered a same day appointment because there happened to be an empty spot - not expected service but lucky for me. The receptionists were super friendly and got my basics tests done really quickly and professionally. I then met Dr. Kristina Kennedy - she was awesome. Probably the best optometrist I have ever seen. She was very friendly, listened to my concerns, explained everything in detail, and even answered my side curiosity-driven questions regarding optometry. Dr. Kennedy was very very knowledgeable, 1000% sure know what she is doing. Her presence literally screams professionalism. She also made sure I understand that they offer and accommodate ER visits anytime when I needed, also went over ER signs to watch out for. The practice was not pushing or trying to sell me any products. They really respected my choices on shopping for glasses and contacts. This is exactly what a professional practice should be offering instead of straight up solutions - options to solutions. The pricing was reasonable as well. I didn't have insurance so I paid out of pocket. Parking was very available. Location was easy to access. I walked in this place hoping for 4/5 experience- they gave me 100/5 experience.

I have visited several optometrists over the past 30 years; however, the experience my wife and I…read morehad at The Eye Doctor in Manhattan was by far one of the best. Tiffany assisted us in selecting our glasses, and she was exceptionally pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the entire process. She made what can sometimes feel like a routine appointment into an outstanding customer experience. Her attention to detail and genuine care truly stood out. As a 30-year customer service executive, I recognize excellence when I see it--and I experienced exactly that through Tiffany. She is a tremendous asset to your team and deserves my highest commendation. Because of this experience, The Eye Doctor in Manhattan will be our preferred choice for all of our family's optometry needs moving forward. Sincerely, John S. Ortiz III

If you choose to take a chance on this place, good luck! I first went here to get a new pair of…read moreglasses for my son & that went ok. I like to give small local businesses a chance, so this year I called to get an appointment for both my son & husband. I had to leave a message b/c no one answered the phone. I NEVER received a phone call back, so being that I wanted to give them a chance I called back & was able to get appointments. Those went well enough. My son needed another prescription, but our insurance didn't allow a new frame until Jan 2018. I waited until Jan 8th, went in to pay for them and the receptionist said my card was declined. I called my bank and they said no charges had even been made! I went back in and she tried again. Her reply was shock & said "It worked!" That was just plain rude! She told me she would speak to the Dr and get them ordered today! Well, now I've called twice since and they're still not in. The Dr said she got the flu & wasn't able to order them until two days later. Now....my sons glasses have been taped and glued since December & Dr Annie knew this when we had the exam. This place has the worst customer service I've experienced in a "professional" office! There's not much professionalism & reliability here! There is another optometrist in this office that I'm sure could have ordered my sons glasses if Dr Annie would have asked.
