I had my eye on the Mango Mochi and their Signature Mango Sago & Grapefruit and OMG, both were absolutely to die for! Everything was incredibly fresh, perfectly sweet, and packed with real mango flavor. I honestly wish I had enough room to order a second round because I knew I wouldn't be able to find anything this good back home. I'm really surprised this place is only rated 3 stars? I went here in March 15th after buying dinner from public market nearby. I just wanted some yummy mango smoothie and it was so worth it. I got their Mango Coconut Foam Smoothie for $7.50. I asked staff if it was all syrup or fresh fruit she kindly explained it was a mix of both. Price was not cheap, but the taste was totally drool worthy. Awesome dessert place for mango drinks and desserts. The warm desserts and shaved ice are all great and up to your preference what you feel like. The drinks are not too sweet and could be eaten with a spoon or through a straw, the spoon is more satisfying! A big drawback is that there are only three tables, so prepare to take your dessert to go. The parking lot is in a super busy plaza, so it may take 10-15 minutes to park sometimes. My boyfriend and I were searching for a dessert place and we're so glad we decided to go in. Please be advised they only accept debit/cash. I went with the mango with tapioca (mango sago) without the grapefruit. The drink was perfectly icy, had a great coconut milk to mango/sago ratio! I thoroughly enjoyed the dessert as it was fresh if and the mango was as ripe as it could get! The staff is very friendly and was helpful with all the questions I had regarding the menu. After several closures a few years ago, the only chance to get my favourite drink was at the Mango Yummy stall at the Richmond Night Market. Finally, it has opened up on Westminster highway. The only catch is that you won't find the same menu as the one at the night market. If you're looking for the drinks that have jelly in it, you won't find that on the menu here. Too bad, it's the one I usually get, but the Mango Sago was an adequate substitute. They also have a selection of puddings and cakes and plenty of seating for you and your friends. I had their mango tofu drink at the Richmond Night Market. It cost $8 (I think), and was such a great deal compared to some of the tiny bites that cost $10-12. The drink was more like a parfait of milky shaved ice, silken tofu, coconut milk, and fresh mango chunks, with some fresh mango sauce on top. They put a scoop of ice-cream in the Mix Fruit Shaved Ice. They should indicate the ice-cream on the menu. They could have given us fruits instead of ice-cream. Also, the shaved ice was extremely sweet (too much sugar syrup). The Traditional Tofu Pudding was disintegrated. How can they give that to customers? They gave us evaporated milk on the side with the brown sugar and they were in two tiny plastic containers. First, they should only give us the brown sugar according to the menu. Second, we did not ask for the evaporated milk and they should have asked us before giving it to us. The plastic container was so small that they should give us two containers of brown sugar instead of giving us the evaporated milk. The Mango Sago & Grapefruit Sweet Soup was watery; you can barely taste the coconut milk or any milk. There were pieces of mango but not much sago and grapefruit. It was not authentic. Moreover, they made us wait when it was not necessary - they microwaved the tofu many times (we heard it) but the menu said it was hot. That means they should not need to microwave it; it was supposed to be hot in the kitchen. Furthermore, they could have the other server given us the desserts instead of helping other customers first. The quality of their desserts and service were disappointing. Was so happy that Mango Yummy finally reopened a new location after their surprising closures. With COVID we've been staying local, and haven't ventured out much. However we finally made a trip out to Richmond to grab some take out. The new location is in another strip mall, like most places in Richmond. They post the menu outside so you can decide what you want rather than standing around inside. Our favourite and the best seller is the mango sago and grapefruit, so naturally after at least of year of being deprived we ordered one each. The prices have gone up slightly everything is $7+, but honestly so have most things elsewhere. We watched the girl preparing the dessert/drinks and were a little worried to see her continuously fill the cup with shaved ice almost to the brim, and were thinking it must be for someone else. When we received our desserts we were a little shocked as the cup was 90% ice and looked nothing like the menu photos or how it use to be. We even confirmed with the girl if this was correct. For $7.50 we got a cup of shaved ice, with a little mango purée, a spoonful of mango chunks and sago, and a splash of coconut milk. Because of all the ice it was so difficult to eat, and after you got through the top potion it tasted like nothing... Was very disappointed and felt a little ripped off. Surprisingly, I was here to buy a cup for my friend because we were going to a party, and then realizing I was here anyways, I bought the same thing for myself. And leading to a great time in a cup. Reading all the other people's reviews, I was like woah, IS IT REALLY THAT BAD?!! 4 words, NO IT IS NOT. Maybe it could be that I didn't have these before, or maybe I let it melt just a bit in the car, while driving to deliver a cup to my friend, or maybe it was a bad batch that was made? I don't know, but the cup was delicious!! I ordered the Mango Sago Coconut, and it was pretty delicious. The amount of sago inside the cup filled the sides of it, and on top of that, the mango chunks were pretty big to the point it was almost overflowing my cup a bit and I had troubles eating them. I might have let my cup melted a bit when delivering it to my friends and when the ice melts a bit, it mixes perfectly with the other ingredients and you can actually eat it like a fruit cup. And they might have added a bit more sago into the cup. I will be coming back in the future to try their other stuff, but with the looks of their consistency, maybe? Idk, we will see. read more

I am happy that Mango Yummy has a location again after the other locations closed. I was looking to try their durian items, but right now their menu is limited. Hours are also restricted due to the COVID outbreak so call ahead to check if the store is opened. I ordered a purple rice with taro and yam mochi dessert ($7.50) and a durian mochi ($1.20). The purple rice was good. It was warm with a few pieces of taro and yam mochi. I would have liked coconut milk added into for rice next time. The durian mochi had durian cream filling. It satisfied my durian craving, but I would have preferred a dessert with pieces of durian. Service was friendly and efficient. Yes, it could have been better by providing the customer with sweeter mangoes. It's my second try from years ago. My first and current experience is the same. The mango is a little bit tangy, not as sweet as the ones I enjoyed at the Richmond Night Market. No comparison. The products here are just ok but price is expensive.
