Unlike most Nationals, you need to check in with the staff to pick out a car and you don't get to choose within your status. They will tell you what they have available. Most likely this is due to the lack of space... But it's not a big deal bc it's a small and efficient airport (John Wayne SNA airport) so there's really no wait. Cars were very clean and the parking lot is the most organized and efficient I have ever seen in a parking lot for rental cars. There are numbered spots for cars so you find the exact car you have. And there are pedestrian walkway strips colored yellow to keep people safe and to let drivers know where they shouldn't drive.

Price was reasonable (about $260 all inclusive for 3 days) and service friendly. Since this is a congested suburban area, getting gas and finding the rental car return facility is not intuitive. Pro-tip: - Get gas on Bristol, where Irvine turns into Campus Drive. - Then drive north on Campus, staying left to get into John Wayne airport. - Drive slowly and look for rental car return signs. - The Alamo return is a long way inside the underground rental car facility, so drive slowly and carefully as you follow the signs. The full payment was due at the counter which was awesome meaning that I could cancel up to the day of. Upon getting to the counter, the whole process did not take more than 10 mins! The best part of it was the Luxury car that I rented had Unlimited mileage which was a sweet deal since I was planning to put at least 2k miles on it for the duration of 7 days. She never bothered to mention that my transponder wouldn't work on California toll roads, even though it works across multiple states when I take road trips. ​To make matters worse, when I called about the charge, the representative named Jose stated my name and email address had been entered incorrectly in their system from the start, proving the original agent wasn't thorough. Jose corrected it. His customer service was terrible. He claimed there was nothing they could do about the fee and refused to let me speak to a manager. Charging a $55 administrative fee on a $2.24 toll due to their staff's lack of communication, while offering zero resolution or management escalation, is completely unacceptable. Save yourself the hassle and rent elsewhere.

I booked through booking.com and got a good deal for 3 days. Upon arrival to SNA airport, instructions were to call Green Motion for shuttle pickup. Pickup area is at arrivals near banner 6. Dorothy picked us up and was very sweet! She gave recommendations and was very helpful on the 3 min ride across the street to Atrium hotel where Green Motion was located. She said the best gas station to fill up was at the nearby ARCO so it wasn't as expensive as the one next to the hotel. Checking in with Amir was very smooth and he gave us 10% off McDonald's coupons at the one near Disneyland. No issues with the Dodge Caravan. Checking out was also very smooth and they let us leave our luggage in the front desk while we ate lunch around the area. When we got dropped off, I accidentally left my phone in the shuttle and after calling Green Motion back, Amir actually came back to give it to me! Wow I was SO grateful to him for that. He's also super nice and helpful. Thank you Green Motion (& Amir and Dorothy) for making our can rental experience convenient and easy!
